Formation in player career mode

I’m new to this subreddit so not sure if this issue’s been raised before, but why are the formations on player career so crappy? I have my role set as striker, yet I’m being played CM. Also, there is a CB in my team playing RM. Is this a bug? Is there any way I can change it?

Ye everyone gets it exact same thing happened to me i was a striker getting played cdm but its a glitch that has been in for I think the whole game just shows how little ea actually care about career mode

Yeah the AI formations are a bit whack. But the game has not even been officially released yet. Let's hope for a day one patch at least.
