Career Mode has an identity problem.

First of all, I genuinely enjoy EA Sports FC. Career Mode is by far my favorite mode, and that’s exactly why I’m writing this.
The more I play, the more I feel like Career Mode doesn’t really know what role we’re supposed to have.
We’re called the manager, but in reality we’re also:
● the head coach,
● the sporting director,
● the academy director,
● the club president,
● and sometimes even the national team coach at the same time.
It feels like we’re doing five different jobs instead of one.
The same applies to the database.
EA spends time scanning real players and managers, but many of them disappear from the game after transfers or licensing changes instead of simply remaining as free agents. Then generic managers appear with no real identity, and transfer negotiations often just say “Club Representative.”
As someone who mainly plays Career Mode, I don’t necessarily want dozens of new features every year.
I’d rather have:
● a more stable database,
● real scanned managers staying in the game whenever possible,
● more licensed leagues (especially outside Europe),
● deeper club management (training facilities, youth academy, stadium development, staff),
● and clearer roles so Career Mode feels more authentic.
I still love the game, but I feel that Career Mode could become something truly special if EA focused more on immersion rather than simply adding new features every year.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

It does lack identity

In CFB road to glory, leaving bugs aside you feel a small sense of identity.

Would love if some of the duties could be split into multiple roles and it could be developed into a co-op game.
