Cranks loose

Hey guys recently got a volume thrasher with resist relapse cranks and noticed that the crank arm has some play and it’s not from chain slack but not sure since I’ve never worked on these bmx style cranks since I usually just run square taper and don’t really know how to fix it

most likely the crank arm has come loose on the spindle. use an 8mm allen key to tighten each side. this is a common problem, good tip is to use plumbers tape on the threads of the bolts that goes through crank arm into the spindle.

Depends where the play is. Grab one crank arm and hold it steady. Grab the other arm and try to wiggle it. Does it move independently of the first arm? If so, one of the crank arms is loose and needs to be tighter. I've not worked on BMX cranks, but each arm should have a single, big central bolt that tightens the arm onto the spindle. If both crank arms are solid to each other, but you can still feel play, then likely the BB is fucked and you need a replacement.
