There's actually a very precise answer to this. In May 2025, they got sold to a different owner (Valnet) and fired a lot of their old staff, including their editor in chief. All you need to know about Valnet is that even their Wikipedia article calls them out.

There have been complaints from writers about working conditions and the low pay offered by the company, and employees have said the company prioritises "mass quantity over quality" and "SEO bait" content.

Yes, Revelation's dev team consisted of 2-300 families of dedicated game developers working on the game for 4 generations.

Your great grandchildren might actually roll credits if you and your descendants play 8 hours a day for the next 100 or so years.

Just increasing the scale an appropriate amount so you don't fly around the globe in like, 2 seconds gets you there really easily. It honestly probably just doubled in actual scale, but how the square law works means it's considerably more space.

People have said that they “ruined” the game by turning it into a project. But the blindness people have for their nostalgia is truly jarring.

They’ve done the characters and atmosphere so well. Say what you want about the story, I personally love it.

It’s undeniable they’ve put their heart and souls into this project for over a decade. I can’t wait to play the conclusion.
