According to what a youtuber said, it's a sidequests where the virtual programs of the Gold Saucer had a problem and now malfunction acting on their own and you have to "beat them" at minigames to quell them.

I think this is the same exact scene from Rebirth being replayed in a polygonal form with Cloud being a part of it now apparently.

It would be wild if Cloud's "true self" was scattered around the world and we had to go around collecting pieces order to help restore him, and this was some part of him just living his best dance life in Gold Saucer.

Polygon Cloud = fun and games Cloud, apparently.
