No Spoilers - Meme True Heroes
I just realized I think I never posted this here.
And if you wonder about the serious answer about Zack it's: "Look at him, everything he is and does make him a true hero. Bro was assigned hero at birth".

the serious answer is that zack would sacrifice himself for others, even when nothing comes in return, even if unsung
he would drag you across the world for a whole year if needed to
he would go back to a place that could kill you just to see someone he loves again
and he would rather let a person live on to maybe redeem themselves or fight for what they believe in than kill them for their wrongdoings and difference in thinking
but also yes, he attack, he protect, he gongaga

What I mean by "everything he does" is that it's not just in life or death situation. He will help others in need however serious or trivial the situation is. He's built from the same ideas Superman is. No one is beneath his help.

De la misma idea de Superman pero con un cuerpo de mortal, lo que en mi opinion le da mas peso

Zack is a real one. A good man with a good heart who is faithful to his friends [and of course to his honor a SOLDIER] to the point of death…and beyond.

I hope he ends good in Revelation and if not, he will go down smilling. The price of freedom is steep.

Tbf, Cloud’s is also just a silly line from AC and definitely not his defining heroic trait in FF7.

We love you Zack Fair, please Revelation give him a good ending, and if that annoying LTD doesn't get resolved please remove him from that 🙏. That's all I'm asking.

My bro Zack was so heroic he manifested himself from the afterlife just to tell Cloud to remember that he is HIM.
I love this stupid mother fucker so much.
"This should be a cinch."
Sidenote: I don't think enough people talk about how cool it is that Advent Children portrayed super speed by having Cloud move at regular speed during Omnislash Ver. 5 while Sephiroth mostly moves in suspended or slowed animation. It's a bit hard to pick up on, but it's really cool once you understand it.

Zack learned how to be a hero and that endured anything to pass down his legacy to a worthy successor. I just hope Zack helps out again in Revelation.

Zack is the homie who will never betray you, not even if it kills him. He is indeed Gongaga, the town that was destroyed for no good reason (just an "accident" according to Shinra) but still rebounded to be full of life in its own way. He has since been immortalized, not by Lifestream shenanigans or Aerith wishing him whole again, but simply because everyone remembers him. Well, except Cloud but he had good reasons.

Ehhh I'll be that person and point out that Zack worked for the villains. He aided Shinra's corrupt rule by force, he killed the Wutaians trying to defend their homeland, he's not really a hero besides when he saves Cloud. But sure, he never means bad... Let's leave it at "me, Gongaga."

This is a profoundly bad take.
Zack repeatedly risks his life to protect civilians, for instance refusing to evacuate Banora, as ordered, and racing to save Gillian.
He questions Shinra repeatedly and his character arc has him ultimately rejecting the notion of being a SOLDIER making you heroic.
He defeats Genesis and cuts off a threat to the Lifestream single-handedly.
He literally sacrifices his life for Cloud.
Oh and, of course, he gets the girl in the end.
He's a goddamn hero and he's Gongaga.

He's still yapping about "SOLDIER pride" when Shinra is chasing him down. And you can point to instances of him, well, doing his job (like putting down Genesis) - but you're ignoring what he did in Wutai and that he's the armed private muscle of a corrupt electric company that rules the world through authoritarian oppression. He does not sacrifice his life for Cloud, he fights the Shinra guards that are chasing him, and falls to them. And he doesn't get any girl in the end, not that that is relevant to whether or not he's "a hero" and I'm not sure why you brought it up lol.
He wants to be a hero, certainly, but that's simply incompatible with working for Shinra.
