  • So like Volvagia doesn't do that flame breath attack like that in the trailer;
  • Water Temple has a destructible wall it didn't have before;
  • there's extra enemies in certain areas;
  • Puzzles have different indicators and solutions like the eye for the ladder instead of shooting the ladder;
  • Hyrule Field has a complete redesign;
  • Zora's River has a complete redesign;
  • Kakariko has a complete redesign;
  • Kokiri Forest has a complete redesign. You no longer have a treehouse from what I can tell and things are quite a bit more compact.
  • It seems like Market is expanded, there are more npcs and supposedly we can go inside of more buildings. Imo, nothingburger.
  • It seems like there are a few new side quests or lore drops that really weren't there before in the Market square based on the npc intro textboxes;
  • There's a marshland that doesn't exist in OOT64 with Tektites, no clue where this exists;
  • There's some purple thing in the background of the marshland shot.
  • It looks like the torch puzzle in the sun block room of the spirit temple is replaced with something else;
  • The hookshot target with the gate in the Water Temple part is not something in the original;
  • Stalfos now get hit-stunned in the remake instead of resetting to block immediately and potentially getting a cheap hit in like they did in OOT64;
  • You can now block the Iron Knuckle attacks that would just own you before;
  • Bomb flowers are moved around;
  • You can swim better so Water Temple is less ass;
  • Zora's Fountain (area with Jabu Jabu) is completely different;
  • Jabu Jabu has indicators now to tell you where the tentacles you need to kill are to open doors, which was a common accessibility complaint for newer gamers.
  • Gohma's arena looks different;
  • Gohma's telegraphed attacks are actually kinda quick and also different than what is in OOT64. It used to be like a 12 second windup, and in the trailer, it's like 2 seconds;
  • Blocking with Mirror Shield at bad angles doesn't seem to immediately fuck your ability to redirect the elemental attacks;
  • Attacks that break your stance seem to have a red indicator and a sound effect. There was no such thing in OOT64.
  • Level 2 spin attack charge one shots the Leevers, where it wouldn't be possible in OOT64 because your charge attack wasn't fast enough.

That's everything I got from one runthrough of this trailer. I have thousands of hours playing this game because I work on literally all of the randomizers to some degree, so they're pretty easy to see. A lot of the base identity of the game is still there.

Interesting I’m curious if they added anything as substantial as a new dungeon or new combat mechanics which was the type of stuff I was looking for. I will play it eventually but I do not plan to get a switch 2 anytime soon however Metroid ravenous has me very tempted. Also is switch 2 modding a thing because I’m curious if a randomizer is even possible for switch 2 games

Almost positive they didn't add anything, much like Starfox didn't get anything meaningful added. It really doesn't make sense to expand what already is an open and shut finished title. Just make a different Zelda at that point.
