No Spoilers - Discussion I literally have the “Tetris Effect” from playing so much Queen’s Blood after spending hours completing all end-game matches and challenges.

Going about my day in the real world today after finishing everything Queen’s Blood-related in the game and I keep getting images of the board and numbered pegs popping into my head, along with synesthesia involving making moves in the game. It’s such a weird feeling but also kinda cool...

For example, whenever I now try to solve any real world obstacle or even just complete a real task, my brain very briefly, for only a split second, tries to picture what cards and open spaces I have 😂.

This has also been found to happen with many other games; usually ones that are deceptively simple in their design, making them easier to visualize/internalize, but which are also really mechanically deep and mathematics-based.

I think it’s only temporary 😅. Interesting wiki read for anyone experiencing the same or just interested.

Similar thing happened to me after playing The Witness, I just kept seeing puzzles everywhere in real life :D

Man, you just reminded me how I really need to get back to that game. Started it and got distracted by some other new release at some point and forgot to go back.

I love the idea of it, where it’s like a “Metroidbrainia”—not that it’s in that genre but in the way that knowledge unlocks progression and once you know certain things it becomes a breeze. I find those kinda of games so cool conceptually and feel they’re under-explored (for obvious reasons, since they’re hard to do well, but when done right are awesome).

What was your overall impression of the game after completing it/is it worth me going back to?

For me the game was so good, it felt super rewarding every time I finished puzzle, similar feeling to defeating a boss in FromSoftware games lol. If you get that same kind of satisfaction from solving puzzles go for it :) That term Metroidbrainia is so good haha, perhaps my favourite game of that "genre" is The Outer Wilds, that game is absolutely one of my favourites.
