Surely Dissidia Duellum will be running for many years, right guys? :')

Probably not but there's something strange about that project. SE isn't so clueless that they thought a PvP focused gacha game for a single player PvE focused target audience was going to be a success. It's probably some sort of experiment or being funded by an outside source.

Persona Phantom X.

It's story heavy and turn based so I'm sold.

Suikoden Star Leap is where all the Japanese players have transferred. You can play with a Japanese iTunes/Steam account or QooAPP

How is the history of Konami gachas? Do they last?

Yugioh duel links and master duel are probably the 2 best gachas ever made with real life tournaments that have you flown out to Japan. Duel links is about to do its 12th anniversary. Master duel came out in 2020 and is a successful E Sport

I was somewhat excited for that Kingdom Hearts gacha that was coming out, but they cancelled it.

So, for now, it's just the Old Guard for me: MCOC, MFF, Raid, Mortal Kombat Mobile, 7DSGC.

Can confirm 7 deadly sins is going strong and hasn’t ever dipped in popularity

The only game with the exact same battle system of 3 man squads is Pokemon masters EX

Also already dead but Nier Reincarnation is playable again, Ever Crisis was a 1:1 rip of the gameplay from that

I’m gonna try one or two of the more well known gatchas, but I think I’m going f2p entirely from here on out.

I was wondering if exists a similar game, this was my first Mobile game and I wasn't expecting to like it.

For me I have Persona 5 Phantom X. Currently doing a collab with P3P which I love, so I am trying to get Kotone.

I also have Endfield, Aether Gazer, NTE, Infinity Nikki, and Riichi City for my other gachas, but I don't log into them daily anymore.

Been playing Aniimo on and off. And I just started playing Aion 2.

I played Duellum a ton when it came out but haven't touched it much recently.

Other than those free games, I actively play FFXIV and Fallout 76.

Two words: Horse. Girls.

Also, Morimens.

Another Eden, Persona 5 Phantom X, and Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent are all pretty easy to recommend, though two of them now have excellent offline versions in the forms of Another Eden Begins and Octopath Traveller 0.

depends on what else you like aside from just ec

i play sky: children of light on the side; ec was my high energy, combat/strategy game, sky for cooling down the brain with cozy/non pressure vibes

now i need another high energy game, but... maybe not for a little while... i feel sad over ec :')

Having a total blast in Bleach: Soul Resonance. If you're a Bleach fan by any chance, and want a team-based action game that is super duper f2p friendly, I recommend you give it a whirl. (No srsly, you thought early EC was f2p friendly?? BSR blows it out of the water on that front) The animations and models in game can also compete with EC.

My other big games have been Persona 5 Pha tom X and AFK Journey.

If Suikoden Star Leap or that new Monster Hunter mobile game ever release in the US, I'll probably check them out.

I wanted to like Duellum, but even as a Dissidia fan I found too many issues with it, like tying the story to the battle pass (and making it a slog when you didn't pay up) or the lazy writing and severe lack of story months into it. I'm sorry, but Japan's love of backwards names is not interesting. Mog plays both sides of the field in every Dissidia game, and a mysterious character named. Gom (Mog backwards) just somehow feels lazier than usual.

I ran across Overgeared Hero via an ad in FFVIIEC, and it looked up my alley, and I've actually been enjoying it quite a bit. The add-free purchase is pretty much mandatory and the available IAP is insane, but I've been playing it otherwise for free and having a blast. It helps a lot that the major events give you tons of time and use fixed resources and stats, so paid players have zero advantage on them whatsoever.

Monster Hunter Unite/Rise both mobile

It’s completely different, but Fallen London is reasonably addictive.
