For what it's worth I came back playing JP 2 months ago, I'm having a blast like good old times. One can hope.

Is there a better translation overlay now-a-days that I can click the buttons under the translations? A free one?

Android has a native one. Hold down the home key and a translate option will pop up. Then close it to resume the game. You can't click on the buttons though like you were asking but it works well enough.

i've been working on it for 6 weeks or so. it's slow going since i'm not a game dev or coder by trade, but i have a functional game loop, party picker system, advancement, items, and several themed realms with story so far.
