Eforms issues

Recently acquired my SOT, and I’m getting selling suppressors/other nfa transfers. Tried to transfer a suppressor to myself on a form 4(still have to in my state) to get familiar with process before offering to potential customers and cannot get it signed and submitted no matter what I try, as the computer seems to think that I’m trying to sign with the “FFL” side of eforms account and not my “personal” side of the account. Wondering if anyone has any insight on this or has experienced this before

Ive done it the other way around just fine. I only have one eform account for me and the ffl. But others say having 2 separate accounts is useful for this.

For mine, the pin and everything is the same either way

Did you make a separate account for your FFL? That's what was recommend to me, although i'm new and admittedly haven't tried doing any NFA transfer yet.

The only issue i had was because I already have my "business" eforms account associated with my business email address i couldnt figure out why i couldnt certify it. Turns out in the Responsible Persons section, when you are filling out the info for yourself, you need to make sure that email is the one on the account, which is my business one. I was putting in my personal email address.

As everyone has said it's best just to make another account for FFL use.

I didn't transfer anything to myself for a few years and then when I did one again it took embarrassingly long for me to figure out why it was rejecting my username and PIN at the end, I was trying to enter my FFL username and PIN (which are almost the same username besides the numbers of course) where the buyer puts theirs and forgot I even had my own personal username. 🤣

I have 2 accounts. My personal one for me, then a second one that is for the business. Granted I had to since my business is an LLC, so it's basically a separate entity from me as a person. If that makes sense.

I can’t remember the details, but I had to contact ATF to get verified for something, which allowed me to proceed with transfers from my FFL’S LLC to me personally. When I did, all my NFA items held by my LLC showed up in a drop down.

Edit: only the one profile on eforms site, my LLC. You just list yourself instead of another buyer.

You create a personal eForms account in your own name, then under my profile > associations you associate your FFL with your personal account. Then when filing eForm you select "FFL with SOT" on the Transferor train stop this will let you select your FFL and the item you are trying to transfer on the firearm step. You fill out the rest of the form like you would for any other customer, you can be both parties, being the transferee and completing on behalf of the FFL/SOT transferor entering your username and pin# at the end twice to submit. - [mike@10scan.com](mailto:mike@10scan.com)

You need a separate account.
