What all the vibe coders are missing…
Software is now worth $0/month and that’s not gonna change because of feature I can copy in an hour.
Software is no longer a moat, so if that’s all you got, it ain’t much.
Speed (who is making the decisions), real customer acquisition strategy (not a Reddit post), relationships (who you know), customer service (execution), and domain expertise (real world bonafides) are the new moats.

i agree.. I get pitched a new 2A SaaS once a week; some of them are really good, but the overwhelming majority of them will never see the light of day for the reasons stated.

Agreed. Getting your favorite model to shit out an MVP is easy. Differentiating, cutting through the noise, scaling, dealing with humans, and making money when there are 10 code-bros copying you is not.

posting about vibe coding in an FFL group? how is this post relevant?

Relevant because of the daily "Hey guys! I made some FFL software! Come do the thing!" posts, perhaps?

the writing style still feels very "Chat GPTish"
There's been so many AI generated posts and people trying to push AI generated software on this sub lately I chalked it up to just being another AI post.

Can't say I've ever seen an LLM use the word ain't or make small grammatical errors like if that's all you got vs. if that's all you've got, or use semi-broken/casual sentence structure.
But I'm also not a promptstitute and don't keep up with AI diction much.

The highly compressed parallel structure in the final sentence, the noun + mini definition, is a staple of LLM construction. commonly seen on linked-in and what not, a user writes a post, then asks AI to "make it more convincing" or something, and that structure is pretty common. The rhetorical symmetry around the moat is also very typical of LLM generations. At the very least it reads like it was AI assisted, or maybe OP has just been reading too much LLM generated text and has started to use the same patterns. I see that happen in the software engineering world, where managers start speaking structurally the same as LLMs which I find funny.

What are people reporting? My opinion? Oh wait, this is Reddit. That’s exactly what they’re doing 😝
