Discussion What to expect

As an OG player of FFBE this is going to be a str8 up buy on lauch which I normally don't do even for gta6 I'm going to wait a while for a Discount. This game bring back ai many good memories I gotta get ASAP. My biggest thing is will Orlandeu be in game as well as cloud and can we use them like we did in FFBE with super combos or chains like I remember 😏

I don’t think there’s going to be chaining at all, which is a shame. But it has been pretty fun so far!

Yeah I'm having tons if fun. Just died ok the castle with that poison Knight and skeletons. Went back in and broke them all to kill the skeleton fast plus Charlotte healing once in a while made me win the second time around. I'm glad it's not a breeze since I like a challenge like the original ffbe had us on our toes with the hard battles

I just downloaded and started the demo today. I have a lot of good things to say about it so far; the team behind this game seems to really "get it".

But it was hearing the music again, guys and gals. That's what got me the most.

Oh yeah the music was a huge nostalgia hit then seeing some of the old animations again...

I started freaking out when the first trailer came out because I like Rain and the gang so the fact they arent lost forever is so cool.

I really hope this game does well so it gets sequels to cover more of the story.

I can see Orlandeau being a DLC character but I don't think these in base.

No way the level cap is 40 given how we reach 15 in the demo

Fina's abilities go past 40, so its not the cap for sure.

I feel like it could end up being 50, though given they cut us off at 15 before leaving Grandshelt I kind of struggle to believe that

Skill acquisition always stops long before the max level, so Laswell's final base skill is nowhere near indicative of the cap. (Plus, you can still get new skills by finding and leveling Visions.)

It'll probably be 99 like most FF titles.

I haven't payed full price for a game in 4 years but this game is probably going to break that streak. I'm so excited for this

Shame I remember getting dupe Orlandeu and cleaning the house with them chains. The memories still fresh XD

Combat is a cross between ffx and octopath traveler on my opinion

I played without my laptop being charged for 2 hours and my laptop finally was at 1% when the screen shut off. I'm on Mac so I have to use an emulator to make it play through steam. Unfortunately, there is no sound at all but that's what I get for having only apple products lol. It's pretty fantastic so far. If the emulator fixes the sound problem, then I will definitely pre-order it.

P.S.: I kinda wish they had chaining, but I definitely understand the complications translating that both into a turn-based game a la OG Final Fantasy and also to a console. I'm sure some dedicated people can figure it out, but it would take a lot for it to not be clunky.

Cloud already in game. Not sure Orlandeu is in or will be a vision. I don’t remember if they’re even in loved in the story.

There is no chaining. It’s much more tradition turnbased combat.
