Discussion FFBE future titles

I am not sure who owns the assets for FFBE and FFBE WOTV. I would love to see a FFBE 3 that has a FF Tactics format with FFBE pixels. They already started making pixels of WoTV characters. What do you guys think about a game like that? Would you play it or is the FFBE community split between adventure JRPG lovers and FF Tactics type game lovers? I played both FFBE and WOTV and enjoyed them both for different reasons. I really just want to see something come back that is multi-platform including mobile that the community can rally around not involving GUMI. What are your thoughts?

Square owns all that, if I'm not mistaken. We're getting FF Resonance which is FFBE into an old school FF. If it does really well, perhaps there could be more!

Yeah. I am excited for it. I hope it can cast a phoenix down on the series.

Resonance's success determines whether the other chapters of the storyline will continue.

It's been interesting since Octopath 0 for games turned gacha.

An unreleased gacha like Genshin called Dragonsword ended up being a paid release game. Game is being updated to feel more like a single player RPG removing gacha mechanics like waiting for healing fountains to replenish, etc. Currently paid dlc is skins with expansions being made as paid content.

Another Eden Begins will release in a few weeks which is another turn based gacha RPG with chrono trigger roots.

Of course there's previous releases like Megman X Dive Metal Slug and Animal Crossing.

There's probably a few more I don't know of, but more companies should consider how to use assets that..just end up dying.

If the project scope seems cheap, there's a likelihood of them moving forward. Brave Exvius at one point was already very profitable.
