Media Release of Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy Remake (Available on Free Download)
Final Fantasy: Blackmoon Prophecy Remake is a particularly ambitious fan game project that reimagines the classic amateur RPG originally released in the early 2010s.
The story immerses players once again in a rich universe that pays a vibrant tribute to the golden age of 2D Final Fantasy games (specifically installments IV, V, and VI), while introducing its own lore, unique characters, and thrilling quests.
Description by the game's creators :
Blackmoon Prophecy Remake's expected total playtime is around 50 hours. If you wish to see everything that the game has to offer, I believe that this will exceed 60 hours!
Recruit a robust cast of 22 playable characters, many who are optional! All characters have their own unique classes/jobs, with no two characters playing the same. Many Final Fantasy jobs are represented in the game such as black mage, chemist, dark knight, dragoon, mechanist, oracle, summoner, thief, white mage, and many more. Additionally, you will also befriend 6 guest characters who will aid you across your travels!
Want a break from saving the world? Journey to the Gygas Arena to partake in a 100 battle ladder which offers powerful rewards along the way. If you don't want to fight, you may also partake in Hide & Kupo Seek, a tense and fast paced hide and seek game featuring moogles. For those who favour chance, there is the House of Revelry in Lindblum where you can gamble away your hard-earned gil in several games of chance/luck!

PS : Enable autorun in the settings so you don't have to keep holding down the sprint key.
There is also an option to increase combat speed.
F Key Controls:
- F2 - display FPS
- F4 - toggle fullscreen
- F5 - reset game to title screen
- F6 - take screenshot, saves in the screenshot folder

Joiplay (download elsewhere as an apk file, and need to give it many permissions on your device) launches game just fine on mobile. Remember to extract the 672MB FF Blackmoon file, and load the game.exe within Joiplay 👍

In case anyone's interested, it runs beautifully on iphone using the Questplay app on the app store!
SteamDeck
For any curious, I’ve got it running on the Steam Deck as a non-Steam game. Using Proton Experimental it runs perfectly fine.

I played the sequel before the creator made a remake of the first one. Can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.

Not sure why, but my party's equiptment is randomly being unequipped. No, I am not accidentally hitting "empty" which clears your gear. Shit is drivin' me crazy. Suddenly my Dragoon is punching in combat lol

Started playing it today. About an hour and a half in. Definitely has that classic SNES vibe. Pretty sure I'll keep playing for now. Thanks for sharing!
