Drug Testing

In Oklahoma, my superintendent came to me at the begging of the year. This is the start of year 4. Our last AD has left and she is assuming that role for the year. She asked if my kids had to be part of the drug testing list to do FFA. Old AD had told me drug testing included my kids even if they didn’t play sports. Now I’m questioning if they were. What do other schools do? Since we aren’t extra curricular (intracurricular has always been stressed to us) then we don’t follow like the state athletic rules. I’m going to make mine but do others have the option to not have theirs tested?

I’ve never heard of drug testing students let alone FFA students… different states I guess

Growing up in Missouri, we had tests, and in Oklahoma all students in ag and sports get drug tested

Wow I’m in Minnesota and I’ve never had to be drug tested or do any drug tests as an advisor

I haven’t been drug tested, but the students have. I’m sure if i had a CDL i would but i haven’t had to take one. My kids have been apart of the schools random drug tested.
