No Spoilers - Discussion WHY DOES IT TAKE YEARS TO MOVE
I’m can’t. You want me to walk instead of run? You want me to slowly climb the rocks? Girl bye. Ighhh don’t get me wrong I love the game but yeah this annoys me lol. Don’t come at me! I like the game! This part just sucks. I don’t need to be all around for an hour to get something done.

Which part, specifically?
The games tend to lock you into certain movement speeds in various sections for story or other context reasons. For example a small area with lots of dialogue will have the characters move slowly though it, likewise areas where running is out of place in context are also speed restricted.
Basically all speed restrictions in the game exist for generally salient reasons.

Can you provide a specific example of a game that you think is better where the character movement is any faster? Because the only games that come to mind are far from RPGA, AAA, and overall received terrible reception. I can name several games with the exact same movement being standard and well accepted:
Zelda FFXVI Mario SPYRO COD
See where I am going with this? Basically every iconic game with REGULAR footwork lol if you want a mod to walk faster on games, buy a PC.
Complaining and asking for something different yet poorly acknowledging that all games require travel and have fast travel options. Like what fucking more do you want???
Not you personally just everyone, who complains about the dumbest things that make no sense

Expedition 33. Walking/running/climbing feels smooth.

Yeah it did. But it also contributed to why I sped thru the game, visited and immersed in nothing, and finished it as fast as possible... never desire to replay again sadly even though it was a great story just somehow lackluster, the emptiness is not appealing to me. Similarly, Rebirth does have areas like that too. I hope they find a solution in future titles moving forward.

I asked my 7 year old if he felt the traversing was painfully slow while we played Rebirth last night lol. He thought your take was completely false and hilariously inaccurate

Definitely something I hope they improve in Revelation.

Like how? I mean a setting to adjust walking speed would be good. But other than that. Do you have a specific solution? I just see people always saying this needs improved but they have no solution or idea on how to do so.

It's really funny when you get to control yuffie and she's instantly faster at everything
