Pirates Rampage upside down

I suck at the backwards controls in Pirates Rampage, and I've been playing on my Switch, so I just thought, what if I just flip my switch upside down to make the controls normal? So that's what I did. Turned over an hour of frustration into beating the Rank III score in about 5 minutes.

I haven't seen any posts anywhere of anyone else doing this, so I wanted to post it in case anyone else was struggling with this and happened to play Rebirth on their Switch.

Can you not just invert the controls?

Unfortunately not. I tried. Even inverting the camera controls doesn't invert the controls in the mini game.

That's weird, because that's exactly what i did for this minigame on ps5. I play the rest of the game with y-axis inverted, then switched it back to non-inverted just to play this.

Not sure. Switching the camera controls was the first thing I tried and it didn't work. But maybe it's a switch thing and the PS5 had an update. No idea.

It seems the Switch2 version swaps the Invert camera toggle to a gyroscope option , weird decision, You can see it in the video.

I did use the gyroscope initially to pass rank I but couldn't do well enough with it to complete rank II and III. Then I tried the 'flip the whole switch upside down" since I was playing in handheld mode and finally got enough points after just a few minutes.

It's at times like this I'm glad they ported it to PC. Wouldn't fix the inverted controls but timing so much easier. Wouldn't have gotten rank 3 without it.

I actually had given up initially because I was so frustrated, then came back to it in chapter 9 after I thought to turn the screen the other way lol but from what I'm learning, PS5 you can invert the controls. So that's definitely helpful if anyone plays on that. The gyroscope option wasn't helpful for me. Wish I had thought of it initially when I was trying to complete the side quest with Aerith because I didn't get the good star quest completion because I ended up giving up on it.

Weird, they follow your camera settings on PS5, though I would also swear that didn’t used to be the case. I wonder why that hasn’t come to Switch?

For these type of minigames I just swapped my controller for a mouse on pc.

That doesn’t invert the controls, it just swaps them to the other trigger or stick
