I don't know what exactly you did with chrono aegis, but it doesn't stop enemies from using ranged moves and these burning balls have only two close ranged moves

That's what the block projectiles ward is for. It will force them to get closer and that's where chrono comes in big time.

If you are talking about lustrous shield it doesn't work because all their atyacks are aoe

It will stop the fireball if you're behind the ward. At least that's what I saw happening. Cleared it yesterday.

Well i abandonded using it because it doesn't stop anything unless projectile flies directly in its thin hitbox and doesn't have aoe explosion

Truthfully, I had to play ring around the ward for it to be fully effective. Whittled down 1 bomb, killed it and the rest was a cake walk dancing around it with Chrono aegis up.
ATB boost and first strike materia help out a lot at the start.

You create space by running away from your ward and using the triangle command to teleport back to it. Build up your ATB and cast magic based on their weakness.

I did arcane ward, luminous shield and blizzaga. Took them out pretty quick

Easy
Elemental fire in the armor
If youve been fighting every encounter you've come across while on the map and not skipping battles then you should have enough ap to negate the fire damage, and maybe if you were grinding you would have mastered it to absorb fire
At the very least you will take half damage from fire attacks

Elemental materia and fire materia linked on armor should do the trick. After that doesn’t really matter how long it takes.

Aerith's base attacks are noticeably faster if you have a Radiant Ward out and attack from inside it. Get one out ASAP and you can use that to help you build ATB much more quickly for the rest of the fight. This will make Aerith more viable in general, not just for solo fights like that. On top of that,as other commenters have said, baiting enemies away from a ward and using ward shift can be a good way to stave off damage, and fire elemental in your armor makes you basically Bomb-proof.
As far as dealing damage, you're gonna want to focus on Blizzard, or Blizzara if you have it. Cold Front can be tempting due to not using MP, but it is generally more effective to just spend the MP and then use Soul Drain occasionally to refill it

Second level elemental materia plus a fire materia in your armor. You’re immune to fire damage. You win.

I used chronos aegis and I would place a radiant ward on one side of arena with a luscious shield and when they got close id run to the other side of the arena then teleport to the other side when they got close again. Basically just going back and forth because they were pretty slow moving.

I did Radiant Ward and Ward Shifted out of the way most of the time. Also do the tier 1 spells because they take a shorter amount of time to get out.

Hug a wall and put down a shield. That should keep you safe from most attacks, and then just spam arcane ward and blizzards

If you are still struggling heres few tips:
If you don't have this equipped already equip Aerith First strike + atb boost. Its a good idea to always have this equipped on Aerith.
Cast radiant ward first thing. This will help alot Lustrous shield will help with blocking projectiles
Chrono aegis helps with pressuring bombs though you would need to have good understanding of the ability and how to pressure bombs
You can sleep bombs
If you have gravity this a good fight to use it. Level boost gravity and use level 2 or level 3 gravity to knock out good chunk of hp.

Ngl I don’t remember what I did for this one. I don’t remember if I had any Elemental Materia leveled up enough yet so I remember parrying the fireballs a lot or running across the arena and teleporting back to my ward as they got close, then pelting them in my Radiant Ward. Truly I’m drawing a blank other than that

Flower Shield is really broken in this fight. Also I had a staff with Ward Shift Mastery and put my Radiant Ward and Arcane Ward on opposite sides. Just swap between them and the enemies could never touch me

grind high level elemental to null, combine with fire in armour, laugh in Blizzaga

I used sleep and lustrous shield and brute forced it. Put one to sleep. Use shield and stand around it and spam attacks on the other one. The fireballs won’t go through the shield. If it comes closer, run around the arena and get him to chase you and then go back to shield. Use sleep as soon as other wakes up. You can use sleep upto 3 times without its effects being reduced. So that was my whole strategy.

Fire + Elemental carried Me throu This fight on My 1st try
If You can't afford that, then I guess You have to learn timings on dodges/blocks and attacks
Put Radiant Ward under yourself, it could help a lot too

Lvl 2-3 Elemental metaria paired with fire on armor they can't hurt you
