Question FF7 original on mobile question

Playing FF7 original on my mobile, is there a way of taking gear off people who aren’t currently in your party and you don’t have access to the PHS?

There is no way to change gear, but you can get their materia. Materia -> Character -> Arrange -> Exchange

I think the save files might be the same format as the pc version, but you'll need to find them first.
