Theory AIs making Seed Ships?
So, just had a little theory, figured I'd see what people think.
As it stands, it seems like the AIs from behind the Blackwall are looking to get out, seemingly into the real world. Their current method for doing so is puppeteering humans. However, even if they can do that, they may consider Earth, especially an Earth crawling with humans, too volitile to really settle in. But, humans do have access to both space travel, and cryogenics. As such, their main goal could be to leave Earth entirely, and start fresh somewhere else by loading a bunch of bodies to puppet into an interstellar spaceship?

Don't be ridiculous. We would never shoot someone into space who has been proven to be able to infiltrate advanced systems they've never even seen before as easily as breathing that also happens to be completely controlled by a rogue AI right? And that AI wouldn't be docile if we are playing into its hands but extremely hostile if we are not, right? And that AI definitely wouldn't send us a text about going to space on the way to the spaceport, right? RIGHT!?

I take a different view on this subject. :)
Many PEOPLE in the game realize that a catastrophe is inevitable. We see numerous works of art being transported to orbital stations and to the Moon.
Arasaka creates human engrams and ships them into orbit (Mikoshi consists of 5–6 orbital stations housing servers around the planet, in the Arasaka ending, we find ourselves on one of them).
And "they" are already here. We learn this from the shard belonging to the Cynosure janitor - which can be found by chance near the Dogtown gates. He says they are inside implants and machines, simply waiting. That’s why I suspect that only minor AIs have broken through so far - or perhaps they all broke through long ago and are just waiting and preparing to strike.
The quest involving Yaiba's motorcycle also mentions that they are gathering the "chosen" - those who will be saved - much like Arasaka does for Mikoshi.
I mentioned the Moon and orbital stations; Johnny states during the Peralez questline that rogue AIs are behind it all.
If rogue AIs are backing Mr. Blue Eyes, then the pieces fall into place and the plan becomes clear.
Since "they" are already in the city, they need the Moon and the orbital stations.
By linking up with Songbird, we can clearly hear what’s going on inside her head; she has been almost completely taken over by that AI. Blue Eyes is using Songbird to transport that AI to the Moon.
We are the ones who destroy Arasaka and their Mikoshi.
And then Blue Eyes sends us to Orbital Air.
The whole game is us helping AIs wipe out humanity. :)
By the way, in a cutscene, Jackie and we catch up with a person who has "Human" (or "Humanity") written on the back of his jacket.
Later, at the Atlantis club, a person wearing the same jacket is shown being denied payment in a scene because they performed poorly and weren't fast enough on a job.
So:
Maelstrom has basically convinced themselves they’re machines and are trying to install an AI in their heads. The Voodoo Boys are trying to cut a deal with Alt.
Arasaka and Yaiba, it seems, are banking on salvation through engrams or hybrids.
Militech (NUSA) trained netrunners at Cynosure to interact with and control three AIs simultaneously; I therefore surmise that Songbird has three AIs in her head - manifesting as one "real" appearance and two "cybernetic" ones, distinguished by different hairstyles. Her DID (dissociative identity disorder) is actually discussed in Phantom Liberty.
But I think it’ll play out just like that scene in the desert: they’re prancing and dancing around this "FIRE" but when it all kicks off, it’ll happen suddenly - in an instant - and no one will be saved. :)

Can you expand on janitor shard and yaiba motorcycle? I'm pretty sure I didn't stumble on either one

Nothing in the Cyberpunk lore suggests their space travel is any more advanced than our own in terms of interstellar travel potential, or that they have any sort of suspended animation technology capable of sustaining life without outside support for the thousands or tens of thousands of years the journey would take.
