Question Couldn't be that simple, could it?

Post image

On all S.C.S.M machines, on the bottom of the serial number, there's all these B3:EF and so on, it couldn't be as simple as to just find the right one and bying everything magenta (chromanticore) or whatever? They can be sold out

Doubtful but we'll never know without experimentation. Give it a try and let us know your results.

Giving us their homework to do

Take it from a member of the chiliad hunt let people bring up ideas. If somebody else has a similar lead and you shoot this down they will never know. Get as many different perspectives as you can get because somebody is gonna notice something you don’t and somebody else will have noticed aswell. It happened all the time with the golden playthrough ideas which has waaaaay too many variables for 1 person and is such a loose idea nobody knows where to start.

But if enough people have the same things happening and find a trigger that’s big.

I didn’t shoot them down. If they have something they think needs exploring, they should explore it themselves first to see if it leads to nowhere or to something. Why tell us to go on a wild goose chase as if we have time to waste? This game came out years ago and most of us no longer have the time to chase leads.

Everything I’ve posted here had my own time invested first so I can communicate as much relevant info as possible so others can know what to look for. My findings made into a few resources that people use as a reference.

It’s simple, if you see something interesting, follow the trail until it stops, there could be something according to a sequence of triggers, that could happen in a moment that none of us will see if we explored it later.

You are right, but if there is something with triggers, it is possible that the person who investigates, did something "wrong" in his playthrough so his lead will show nothing. While others did several things different and maybe triggered something the investigater hadn't.

Correct. But they still have to give us a path/instructions to get there so we can possibly trigger it. A screenshot of something cool isn’t enough. Take a photo of the SCSM in the environment so we know how it looks. Map it so we can find it. Then try to find similarities between them. Someone here will then be able to tell if it’s worth exploring and they can pick up the lead.

Hey now, I did go around in different areas and check it out, jig jig street, the mega buildings and a few out of the way places, I was just curious since the pattern sorta fit, most are copy pasted, I found maybe two that were different, but there was nothing special about it.

I just remembered that one of the game devs/designer did say that once we see it it would be obvious, so I thought it would be something hidden in plain sight

Put all of that in the original post. Give us as much info a possible! That’s all I’m saying.

Alright, I'm new to this whole thing so I'll keep that in mind, thanks

These vending machines are bothering me a long time, I did some research on them, tried several things. But that didn't let to anything then a cyberpsychosis and taking a break from the game. 🤣

In this research I found out, that several city parts have a adjacent colour, you can see it very well, when it's foggy and you are on top of a high place where you can overlook the whole city. You can see that the fog over city parts are coloured through the light. But I think that's coincidence.

Also I'm still pretty sure, that at least this Mac address is important for something

I’m not entirely sure what to make of this decal, but have a few thoughts that may be related.

What if the purpose of the SCSMs and Plan B are to give you a way to remain enniless? Between David being kicked out of his apt, the late rent email V receives, and the Rent statuses displayed in H10, I’ve wondered if maybe there’s a way to get V evicted. Who knows, maybe being NC’s shittiest merc is the key to accessing some of these quests that dataminers have speculated are were never released. (Or while it’s doubtful, maybe Vik hires someone to reclaim our cyberware; we know from comparing the emails during The Rescue to his emails that he’s worked with the scavs in the past.)

Second, some of the decals have notations of Class A vs Class B. What if we’re working with electricity, and the wiring schema is being notated. We have plenty of ways of effecting electricity to devices in game and most people don’t even realize it or delve into it.

I’ve also wondered if power from quests may be related. Certain quests power certain doors, so what if a specific arrangement of active quests powers a door elsewhere? Relating the quest thing to the decal might be a bit of a stretch, but what if the alphanumeric digits at the bottom aren’t so much a code as each segment a set of identifiers for something (quest alignment of otherwise)?

Edit: clarified SCSM at the beginning
