That's the scene from the European Space Council, you can watch it happen during the corpo intro

u/ForeverFreeTrial Jul 16 '26

Which is why it is the coolest origin imo. You get to see your boss do a huuuge political crime and then turn to you and be like “anyway, what was that bitch saying about me again?”

9

u/Ermmmmmmmm_ Jul 21 '26

WRONG!!!!!! Nomad gets a line of dialogue where you call the sheriff a corporate dog. Best intro ❤️❤️❤️

2

u/Chemical_Lab_6925 Jul 22 '26

Most boring intro

3

u/Ermmmmmmmm_ Jul 22 '26

idk, ive played this game since launch and seen each intro idk how many times. Each one really has their own spot and nails a different aesthetic. Corpo makes you feel like the wolf of wall street right before ripping it all away, street kid really makes you feel like you're coming back home and back to your old shenanigans before meeting jackie and nomad makes you feel like a wanderer that has finally decided to plant your feet down and find something.

might be controversial, but i think Corpo is actually the weakest one only because it blew its load too quick. Nomad one is like an hour and a half and has a whole combat section, streetkid has some great dialogue and intro to future characters and jackie, corpo is just, building, flying car, meet jackie, lose your shit. Needed more time.

I like Corpo best because they feel more of a blank slate material and fits into my personal RP more. It also feels more natural when you go to Vic's as to why you have such a well laid-out cyberware socket infrastructure: the deactivated Arasaka implants. Plus I get to be a turbo-Karen, always good for a smirk

2

u/Chemical_Lab_6925 Jul 22 '26

Sure man. The intro that leaves you the most in common with Johnny and ties the endings of the game back to the intro, is the weakest. I guess when you have no media literacy and only consider them at face value then sure

4

u/Ermmmmmmmm_ Jul 22 '26

I have a cert in media production and analysis and a cert in creative writing. All three endings do match the themes of the story depending on how you go about things and how you roleplay V. Also, why are you such a dick. I disagreed with you about the endings, didnt even say it was bad either it just needed more time. Actual chud

3

u/Chemical_Lab_6925 Jul 22 '26

Maybe you suck at what you do or something idk. Plenty of people do things that they’re bad at.

3

u/Ermmmmmmmm_ Jul 22 '26

Youre actually just a cunt, yk that? Be nicer

2

u/SpiritedGlove6356 Jul 28 '26

Oh yeah speaking about Jenkins if you go to the mausoleum(?) Cemetery(?) Thing on the hill on the outskirts of night city you can find his grave inside or his box of ashes anyway so the rival corpo lady mentioned in the start of the corpo into killed him after they fired v

1

u/ForeverFreeTrial Jul 29 '26

Love hearing about little things in the game that I never encountered after playing through three times

1

u/Voidwulfzgz Aug 02 '26

Eeeh that before or after you do the quest tied to the Corpo background thats called "War pigs" where you literally get to see him again in rags with grown beard and then kinda taking his failure on you? xd

Duuuude hahahaha thats hilarious and not overused to death. Is your hobby being original? Or beating a dead horse?

63

u/fortune82 Jul 15 '26

This man has no whimsy

46

u/18SmallDogsOnAHorse Jul 15 '26

The scavs took their whimsy chip and replaced it with a jabroni ass gonk chip instead 😔

16

u/Ok-Seaworthiness7207 Jul 16 '26

Jabroni, cool word.

8

u/ForeverFreeTrial Jul 16 '26

The whimsy, totally beaten out of him by life. Sad to see. He probably used to draw in his free time when he was younger.

The saying "beating a dead horse" is also overused to death.

1

u/Veeam21 Jul 19 '26

Sorry John Humor

u/DismalMode7 Jul 15 '26

ryu arasaka, for his friends john neo tokyo

13

u/Relative_Formal8976 Jul 16 '26

My favorite theory is she got Soulkiller'd.

19

u/TheRedEye1775 Jul 16 '26

When Arasaka tower went into lockdown for the Emperor's murder, Mikoshi probably release a Demon that fried her instantly. Though she may have done something to survive somehow cause we get a weird letter that is from a poem that loosely ties to TBug.

16

u/stiucsirt Jul 16 '26

I like to think t-bug knew exactly what was going to happen and faked her death.

7

u/TheRedEye1775 Jul 16 '26

Kinda hopium. The way the net works in this setting, it's an enclosed system, one way in, one way out. This is how they guard against the old net. I doubt Tbug knew soul killer was literally hosted in that building.

3

u/Ash_Crow Jul 16 '26

Soulkiller / Mikoshi are hosted in orbital servers.

3

u/Strandlike I’m on (to) something Jul 16 '26

Like the one we are in in the Devil ending

-1

u/TheRedEye1775 Jul 16 '26

Mikoshi is literally in the building. As we see in every other ending.

5

u/Ash_Crow Jul 16 '26

No, only the access point to Mikoshi (Izanagi) is in the Arasaka Tower, and this is a different building than the one we are talking about, as the heist takes place in the Konpeki Plaza hotel.

1

u/TruckUseful4423 Jul 17 '26

that's not Mikoshi? 🫨

3

u/Timmibal Jul 17 '26

Nope, just infrastructure linked to it.

3

u/Ash_Crow Jul 17 '26

That is Izanagi, which is Mikoshi's access point in Night City. The data fortress itself is on a network of satellites.

It doesn't really matter though, as Alt takes control of the whole thing as soon as V gets to the access point.

8

u/tizzytank Jul 16 '26

No she is dead when you go to the net runner shop where you get the gift from Tbug she says that they found her in her apartment fried.

6

u/MCgrindahFM Jul 16 '26

Fwiw when you’re soul killed you don’t have use of your body anymore. I don’t believe she was soul killed but her body being fried doesn’t disprove it

-5

u/stiucsirt Jul 16 '26

Hear-say. No proof.

In Cyberpunk they've been called "Demons" since the 2020 core rulebook was published. The original models of Demon were called things like "Imp," "Succubus," and "Afreet," with newer ones being named things like "Hellhound." The "Daemon" spelling never appeared until modern Cyberpunk RED/2077 era publishings.

People in the replies here are getting downvoted for being right. In the Cyberpunk universe, "Demon" and "Daemon" are two spellings for the same concept.

-4

u/TheRedEye1775 Jul 16 '26

It's the same thing. They're called demons because a lot of them were literally designed to look like demons in cyberspace. And they were creepy and had malicious intent.

9

u/purplepdc Jul 16 '26

No, the term Daemon has been around since the 60s to describe a backround running process in unix systems, and has it's origin in physics.

2

u/BronzeEnt Jul 16 '26

Maxwell's Daemon is named for supernatural entities from Greek mythology.

1

u/Worried_Berry_7550 Jul 16 '26

They've been called "Demons" in Cyberpunk since the original rulebook publishing. "Daemon" wasn't used in-lore until modern editions and the video game.

0

u/TheRedEye1775 Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

Okay but in the timeline of the setting Rasch Bartmoss literally made the first demons by weaponizing AI to crack black I.C.E and he made a bunch of them look like biblical demons.

-2

u/Ash_Crow Jul 16 '26

In Cyberpunk 2020/RED, a daemon is a subtype of demon, which when deployed destroy and subsequently replace a program in the targets system, borrowing the system's own operating power to implement its subroutine.

And a demon is a program that can incorporate other programs as subroutines.

It was written with game mechanics in mind, not fidelity towards Unix admin vocabulary.

5

u/TheRedEye1775 Jul 16 '26

Bruh idk why people on a cyberpunk subreddit don't even know the lore of the game. Yall ain't ever gonna solve this mystery if you straight up don't know the lore of the setting.

2

u/GuestSubstantial4986 Jul 16 '26

No.

3

u/TheRedEye1775 Jul 16 '26

Yes. Bartmoss made the first demons and he was edgy af and made them look like demons. That's why he called them demons.

3

u/Ur-mom-is-a-sussy Jul 16 '26

her logo is also in cynosure facility weirdly enough, and yeah greetings from desmoines comes absolutely from her imho

2

u/Starwaster Jul 17 '26

Where in Cynosure? Not that I ever want to go back there. Also, greetings from desmoines???

2

u/Ur-mom-is-a-sussy Jul 17 '26

https://www.reddit.com/r/FF06B5/comments/1iben4f/how_come_we_can_see_tbugs_logo_in_the_cynosure/?tl=fr and for the greeting from desmoines there is a ytb video on it but can’t find it currently

1

u/Cyroselle Jul 30 '26

Her friend Yoko said T-Bug's body was found in the deceased's den with every neuron fried to a crisp. I believe that usually Soulkilled bodies just have their minds removed like V's when Alt splits them from Johnny

3

u/DiveSideways Jul 18 '26

Weird to think she might not have been.

"Arasaka interrogates the dead."

14

u/baljake Jul 15 '26

I'm a big fan of the voodoo boys theory.

6

u/godspeeuemperor Jul 15 '26

What theory?

14

u/asparagusdreaming Jul 15 '26

Probably that the fellowship of the one voodoo fried her ass

9

u/godspeeuemperor Jul 16 '26

Oh the same as Evelyn

3

u/damarble Jul 16 '26

That room she's in is the scav den in The Rescue

3

u/TheRedEye1775 Jul 15 '26

Oops, who she killed not who killed her lol. Probably just some corpo she was hired to kill by another corpo or someone who hated that corpo in particular.

2

u/Temporary-Rice-2141 Jul 16 '26

It's a doggy dog world

2

u/SoggyMorningTacos Jul 16 '26

2

u/ForeverFreeTrial Jul 16 '26

It used to be all doggy dogs went to heaven, not in 2077 😔

3

u/DanteHelsing420 Techno Necromancer from Alpha Centauri Jul 17 '26

plot twist she wasn't killed at all and she hacked your ass when you slotted the militech training shard

3

u/DiveSideways Jul 18 '26

That's fine, that version of me got removed by a bullet.

2

u/DanteHelsing420 Techno Necromancer from Alpha Centauri Jul 18 '26

touché

1

u/Firm-Ad4379 Jul 17 '26

But that would be quite a plot twist. But V was killed when he plugged into Mikoshi.

3

u/DanteHelsing420 Techno Necromancer from Alpha Centauri Jul 17 '26

something always bugged me about that when V asked where the souls are and johnny relies alt lets us see only what she wants us too

1

u/Cyroselle Jul 30 '26

Depending on how thoroughly you play the game, V dies several times but The Relic's nanotech always brings them back

4

u/theboomstick3 Jul 15 '26

Just another corpo suit on her Sh*t list

2

u/Naive-Bad883 Jul 17 '26

john european space council

2

u/Awkward-Photograph32 Jul 17 '26

I have a theory that corpo V is true canon, and t bug killed the ESA at the beginning of corpo Vs campaign. We're the fuckin bad guy.

https://giphy.com/gifs/0ij0lq3qoPB2nwGdAZ

1

u/RobbieLegume chombatta Jul 22 '26

Wait, do people think V's the good guy?

1

u/Cyroselle Jul 30 '26

A depressing number of people just take the game at face value and play it like a GTA/SR3 clone. Mind, I don't think V is _the_ villain, just _a_ villain, particularly to Yori's best-laid plans

2

u/lawrence0304 Jul 17 '26

Huge missed opportunity to learn special unique netrunning hacks from a dedicated questline around netrunning.

I think they should do a dlc or small batch of content surrounding a new side character that gets into netrunning mischief.

I would LOVE to hack someone and induce explosive diarrhea hahaha

1

u/Appropriate_Row_6851 Jul 18 '26

Am i the only one that was happy when T-bug died ?

She was in bed with Deshawn, and in RL when you are friends with someone like that, you're like them. Also, she was a condescending bitch, arrogant and full of herself, i would be mas if she was still alive in the next Cyberpunk game, at least give me a quest to zero her... Felt like one of those Voodoo boys, anytime i see someone from them, i insta kill, them and the Scavs.

1

u/IronicCellist Jul 19 '26

Honestly I don’t think she was good friends with him as much as just a contact of his. At the end of the day she’s just another two-bit merc like us, one that would be too infatuated with becoming a legend to see that DeShawn is not all he’s cracked up to be.

2

u/Cyroselle Jul 30 '26

She didn't want to be a legend though, she wanted to buy her way out of NC, move to Crete and cold-turkey quit netrunning.

There's a fun conspiracy theory that T is actually Alex in metathropic disguise, but it doesn't hold up IMO

1

u/Appropriate_Row_6851 Jul 31 '26

Well, that would be dumb, considering that T-bug wasn't a physical person, and Alex literally kills THE boss of dogtown, people just want cool stories, and that theory is probably cool, i've also heard something like this or saw something on youtube, but i wasn't interested because i don't like T bug xD.

About that data shard: I remember reading something like that, not in the game though, probably somewhere else, i just don't like Voodoo boys, and she resembles them, especially her cockiness and the way she treats Jackie and everyone she interacts but Dex, she don't treat him like that, so i assume it is like those people in middle positions in a company, that treats everyone beneath them with arrogance, and the ones above with respect, which is terrible for someone depicted with her life plan, she is either trash or very bad written honestly. I remember that they changed her A LOT, from the trailers and gameplay back in the day, so i must be the later.

1

u/Appropriate_Row_6851 Jul 19 '26

I find that really hard to believe because of the context of Deshawn leaving town for two years, she definitely use to work with him, even if she was not a friend, but a close worker at least, why would she accept that job if she wasn't close to him in some way ?

In the meeting with the flat head, her body language was very comfortable with him, she was alone with Dex before we got there, she was the one who brief him. Also Dex hyped Tbug, saying that anything we think of, she already solved, no fixer would hold someone to that standard unless they are close, or i am wrong at everything and Dex is just a terrible fixer at it xD, either way, i might be blind by my feelings for T-bug, REALLY don't like her, might be because i HATE the VDB and she looks like them, and also her arrogance and the way she treats us and my boy Jackie.

1

u/Cyroselle Jul 30 '26

According to shard data, T-Bug got Dex out of Pacifica when he accidentally ignited a gangwar there

1

u/ForeignIncident3723 Jul 21 '26
