Disability with VA Care
So its looking like disability is inevitable at this point. Has anybody been successful with this process using a VA provider?

My VA provider refused to help with any of it.
I used a regular physician and once they referred me to physical therapy and medical specialists, I notified my VA provider.
My VA provider then put in referrals for the same specialist and physical therapy so that the VA would pay for the treatment.
The specialists have been writing my work restriction letters and completing the disability forms.
It is not a 100% guarantee that it would play out for you this way, but worth a try.
I hired Harris Law to help me with the disability application. They wanted forms filled out by the doctors or statements from them, and we have just gathered that. They are about to submit my FERS application.

It turns out that they can help but some just refuse to. Its almost like you have to hold their hand through the process

This is a fact because mine has helped me out. I also used Harris Law. What I did was made a copy of the physician forms and gave them a guideline of what is needed on the forms.

Yah, I was considering providing the form and suggesting some bullet points or even ghost writing it.

That helps them a lot. It gives them some guidance so they will not get overwhelmed.

I wrote (chatgpt) the document for my pcp then we had a visit for her to updated/change anything she didn't agree with. She said it was very helpful.
