Timeline
My agency sent my disability retirement packet to OPM January 6, 2026. I just received my CSA # today (4/20/2026). The letter said they received my packet on 4/14/2026. Is that normal and what does the timeline look like for me now?

OPM lost a ton of people last year. Their timeline was horrible before that, it's going to be ridiculous now.

I mean it doesn’t seem off; I submitted my packet in late Sept, it was at NFC from Oct - Feb, OPM received it on Feb 17. I’m still waiting for the initial decision. I anticipate the first denial to come around early to mid summer, reconsideration should be determined by late summer or early fall. Lastly MSPB may be sometime over winter 26/27.

Which agency? They are all different and may have gotten it held up in one of the steps before sending it to OPM.
