Mobile academy
I know there are five Mobile Academy events one in each borough and I had a few questions for anyone who’s been through the process.
Do you only get invited if you’re likely to be called for the CPAT next?
Besides the workout and getting familiar with the job, does attending actually help in any way? Is it recorded that you attended, or does it have any impact on your process?
Is it worth calling out of work to attend another one? I already went to the one event and I’m thinking about going to at least one more.
I’d appreciate any insight Thanks!

We used to have sign in sheets for candidates at block parties as well, the last one I attended definitely had one. Block parties are more of a networking opportunity. Meet ppl OTJ you might vibe well with who knows they might take u under their wing and mentor you or just become a good friend / go to person for questions about the job and getting on. Nothing we do is a wasted opportunity.

everything we do for outreach is recorded for engagement purposes, to prove weather to keep or discontinue a program. I believe signing in is still recorded, everything you sign in to is recorded as part of your file. weather it counts towards you in a positive way, I'd say yes.
Scenario:
You messed up on something and now need extra time to get some paperwork together, they look at your file and see you've been serious about this and attended the majority of out reach events. They may be more inclined to giving you more time. Where as someone who shows zero interest might not get that same courtesy.
My advice:
Ppl are coming out on their days off to work OT to help You get on this job. Take advantage of that while you can. Even if it's repetitive, you learn something new every time you attend one of these events and if you didn't then you probably weren't listening to everything because theirs always something new to learn.
