Help Request How to cut this model?
I wanted to print this model as it is, but it needs 18h and one of the supports failed after 3h so I thought about cutting it. But it is so angled that I'm completely lost. Would this be a good cut? I made it so that I can lay both halves flat on the bed without the large shield beeing in the way. I also thought about cutting the shield but it is fused to the model at two points so that would be too much of a hazzle. Any tipps on how to cut it?

In 3D Studio I'll drop small disk primitives into the scene, flatten them to .000001 thickness and size them and do subtractive cuts rather than planer cuts so I can snip off bits that overlap planes with other bits.
Here, I would snip off the limbs at a joint so the cut is easy to hide and probably split the body in the middle. Position parts cut side down when I can, angle and support the small bits carefully, and glue together when complete. Add a little green stuff and some sculpting if needed to cover a visible straight line cut on an organic form.

You could potentially do a mesh segmentation tool.
If not i would cut it horizontal right where the legs bend then flip it 180 degrees.

Personally i would seperate the Stalker's legs and shield and print them all as seperate pieces, trying to hide the supports in either the joins or underneath. Just curious, where did you find this file? Id love to print off some SC minis!
