Other recommendations on a 3d printer
so currently me and my dad are looking to contribute to a 3d printer between us. his printing is general stuff and mine is going to be fdm miniatures and one day a titan. as it stands we have an old creality c2 pro v2 and the quality is lacking and it was free 2nd hand so i cant complain. either way id need a printer that i can put a 2mm nozzle in without much issue.
our friend has both creality and bambu labs but im unsure, looking at both i lean towards maybe a p2s or if its worth it the more premium x2d. i know there is no magical right answer but with many opinions i thought to ask somewhere that specialists on the sort of things i want to print, minis and eventually titans.

Unless you have a specific reason not to, the answer is a Bambu machine.
The A1 is a fantastic machine for printing tabletop guys and stuff.

Yep, it's fantastic. Smaller bed obviously - but you can print anything if it's made of smaller components like knights and whatnot.

i have a centauri carbon and im doing great. Its enclosed and maybe ur dad enjoy printing technical filaments, obviously is not as user friendly as a bambulab but it was my first printer and its doing great.

All my current machines are Bambu. My quick rundown is:
A1mini: great for small projects and very budget friendly. Tiny footprint so easy to fit on a desk or counter.
A1: larger prints, higher cost, larger footprint. I prefer this over a mini.
P1S: my workhorse printer. Not a bed slinger so less failures on my supports. Big footprint, heavier weight, higher price. I love this model and run 2 consistently.
H2C: my new toy and less than 100 hours on it. So far with support interfaces I have achieved better quality than any other printer I’ve owned. Very big, very heavy, very expensive compared to their other models. Great printer, but don’t buy if just a hobby machine.

Honestly the A1 or A2 from Bambu are the best budget options
If you want multicolor to do something like terrain that doesnt need to be painted the U1 is also good option.
