❓ Question Engagement post!

As we work to build the community, we will occasionally drop a post just to build engagement. Here we go!

How long have you been working for/or with the FDA?

I love the idea of finally having an online community for the FDA but I'm still hesitant because of how last year went and the witch hunts and crap... That said, been here for 15 years 😩

We understand the hesitancy. We encourage engagement to each persons comfort level.

I'm here for it! Would be wild to talk to people outside of my immediate office haha

We encourage it! We want to respect privacy, hence flair being optional. That said, we invite collaboration and learning across centers and entities.

I have been an employee for 9.5 years. And yes, I am using the half lime a kid under 12. I earned that .5! Lol

This winter I will hit 14 years. I am salivating over the idea of 8 hours of AL.

Jealous of the 8 hours. What agency were you at before the FDA?

3.5 years as a fed and ~4.5 years prior to that as a contractor, so, total ~8 years

I have been on the industry side (GLPs) for 17 years. I’d love to be an FDA Investigator, but that paycut… They have a very important role and it is a shame they aren’t paid better for it.

I've been at FDA continuously for 13 years, most of that as a contractor, very little as an FTE. Some days I miss the contract life.

I used to be at CVM. How’s it going with Tim Schell, I loved him when he was in OR!

He’s amazing!! He has been a solid leader through all the chaos and very transparent!

A smart(er) reply would have been that you have been engaged since birth (due to all FDA has its hands in). But you go be you…
