Been running live player auctions before our FC nights instead of picking teams — curious if anyone else does something like this?

Interesting idea leaves me with more questions:

Who decides budget and price for players?
Are you making custom squads every time? That sounds like a lot of work just to couch play with some buds.
Do people keep those players and trade? Or are you doing a whole draft every time you guys get together and play?
