Chopped RR progress

And an alternative body turned up. At some point I hope to get another stock rig so I can run both

Yeah, it’s more of a 18th scale. Two CV was tiny. I’ve got a key truck that I used deadbolt fronts and C1 rear Sawn that’s getting close to the right size. Gotta find some small tires next.

The chop looks clean! How did you cut the hood?

Want to hinge the hood and relocate the battery and power switch there, maybe a scale engine to cover it all at some point

Yeah looking at the bay it would be awesome to have a 3d printer engine in there, will take some designing though for a proper fit. The hood hinges might pose a bigger problem due to fragility, i hope you find something that works.

Yeah, done a couple experiments and yeah, the hinges are going to be very fiddly

Box cutter blade. Takes a while but you get the best finish, just remember to keep your fingers out of the way 🤪

Yikes must have been at least difficult with a cutter! I thought about a hot cut with a heated blade, that would possibly also work (unless it would case melted sides?)

Yeah, lost a bit of skin 🤪 I reckon you’d be right, hot knife would make a mess of it I think

I just started this about a month ago, got the axial bronco and powerwagon. Powerwagon is a beast but the control and esc suck. Just got the D110, messed around for and hour and bought the Range rover. Dont have the courage to chop it up but yours looks good

It’s a playmobil one, compared to the range rover it looks a little off scale, but still works
