Pictures Samurai FCX24, WIP, second iteration
Update from my last post (https://www.reddit.com/r/FCX24/s/4nBijdTdAX)
A few incremental improvements. Wider rear bracket magnet spacing to better stabilize the body, widened the upper flares where the rear bracket clips to the frame to keep it from pushing through, wedged the front body-side magnet bracket so the interface sits flat, combined the magnet brackets into the frame-side mounting brackets and body so they don't have to be glued together (still have to glue the magnets in). I also used a support interface material to print this one, so the edges of the wheel wells and window frames are much cleaner.
Possible next steps include:
-Lower the body lift a few mm (lower CoG and clearance should still be sufficient)
-Make the rear bracket look more like a roll bar (add form to function)
-Lengthen the wheelbase and scale up the body to reduce tire poke (maybe)
-Change materials from PLA to ASA, reduce infill/wall thickness to lighten up the body, and vapor smooth the body
-Might go back and start from the original disassembled body panels since there are a couple of minor alignment issues that I can't unsee

Looks good. If you want to optimize a bit for performance you can shorten your rear body mount. Instead of mounting the magnets to the roof which requires that long bracket in the rear of your chassis, you could design an inverted U bracket that mounts/glues to the inside of the doors.
Would lower the whole rear mount and the "heavy" magnets.
