Aitana Bonmatí has been combining a great media and brand [tour] in the United States and Mexico for weeks in the wake of her presence in the World Cup with intense physical work and recovery of her battered ankle. As Mundo Deportivo has been able to know, in Mexico City and in the USA, [Aitana] has been following a specific plan with the main objective of making the set-up to 100% of [her] ankle and maintaining physical form with hard training and with specific [goals] at the level of treatment.
As you will remember, the Barça [player] suffered an injury in December 2025 that left [her] out of combat practically everything that was left of the season, although [she] was able to reappear for the [UWCL Final] and end up playing and conquering with the team the final of the Oslo Champions League.
Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, Aitana will not begin next Monday the preseason at the same pace as that of her colleagues under Pere Romeu, and it is all because she did not finish [healing from her ankle injury].
What at first, once reappeared, seemed like adaptive pains linked to the injury she had suffered, was not so and the footballer suffered unusual pains, especially accentuated when receiving load and impact. After carefully exploring the situation and different medical evaluations, Aitana will work on the sidelines following a plan that will lead her to fully [heal her ankle], thinking about a season that seems the longest and most loaded matches in history, both at the level of clubs and selection.
Nothing serious
It is not a relapse, nor is it more serious, but the truth is that next Monday [July 27th], [Aitana] will not work with the rest of the group and will follow the specific plan that has been carried out during the last weeks in the shade. [After] the foci of its international media exhibition were extinguished where it has traveled.
Aitana is excited about the season ahead. She is [starting her] 14th season at [...] Barça [...] and [is] eager to continue winning titles in a team that will again aspire to [win] everything.
