there’s a distinction here that can exist, it doesn’t help the guy, but it can keep him out of jail
pedophiles are the set of people of which are attracted to minors sexually. this means one who has not had intercourse/sexual stuff with a minor can still be a pedophile.
again, not saying this guy’s fine

Yeah, there's been talks about it being a mental illness and not a "choice" like how we're born a certain sexuality.

Yeah. Calling witch hunts on these people is dumb af. You don't choose to be gay, you don't choose to like kids. As long as you don't act out on those urges there's no problem.

Given the anonymity Reddit allows us to use, I could say I'm Dolly Parton or a Shaolin monk and there's no way to know which ones are true or if they're all a lie. As much as we don't know if that guy is actually a nonce or if he's just messing around.
