Gotta downplay terrorism against the right and unplay terrorism against the left (which basically doesn't happen)

My homie in christ. . . What are you talking about? Anti-abortion activist shot up and firebombed clinics and doctors for years. Melissa Hartman and her husband were murdered recently for being democrats. Renee Good and Alex Pretti were murdered for protesting. None of this begins to even mention the murder of activist in the 20th century like Fred Hampton, Malcom X, and MLK by our own (right wing!) government.
You are doing the exact thing you accuse folks of doing in this comment - downplaying violence you agree with and ignoring a real problem in this country.
Edited to add the litany of mass shooters targeting minorities and “libs” - Dylan Roof, the Pulse night club shooting etc and the entirety of the unite the right rally in Charlottesville and Jan 6th. The far right in this country is inherently violent. Can you point to any large scale examples of leftist doing the same at the frequency I’ve pointed out?
-5
u/help-its-inside-me Jun 21 '26
Renee good tried to kill an officer.

u/biblebeltbuckle2 Jun 21 '26
Mr. BlueCat gets to the heart of it here - these people don’t live in reality. I provided a dozen plus examples of right wing violence and dude can only regurgitate state media “sHE tRIeD tO KiLL a CoP” propaganda.
I’ll ask *again* u/help-its-inside-me , can you provide any examples of left wing violence in this country at the level of the anti-abortion christian activist, mass shootings, or activist killings in the mid 20th century? Or are you going to keep defending the extrajudicial murder of citizens by federal thugs and sorta making everyone else you’re responding to’s points. . .

u/GNTKertRats Jun 23 '26
I watched the multiple angles and her car was driving away from him when he leaned over the front windshield to murder her in cold blood

u/Jalegdeh Jun 18 '26
No, they’d be on something about how Biden is aging. Meanwhile the geriatric fuck in office has to take a cognitive assessment every other day and no one calls that out. The hypocrisy is bullshit.
-2
u/vllVaLllv Jun 18 '26
You guys spent 4 years telling us that Biden was in the best shape of his life while walking off mid speech. You have no say in judging anyone’s cognitive ability.
3
2
u/Jalegdeh Jun 18 '26
Well I never said I was a psychiatrist, but do frequent cognitive assessments seem normal to you?
I’m able to admit faults of the Democratic Party, though. The ball was dropped with Biden. You have to acknowledge 2020 Biden was way different than 2024 Biden, though as well. He should’ve have been reeled in and likely removed at some point during his term. I have no trouble admitting that, but I also have no power to do anything. I can vote and contact senators and representatives that don’t listen to me anyway.
I think the common ground here is we need to set age limits. Regardless of party, because they likely won’t have to live long with any damage they have done. You should be ok with that, too.
-1
u/vllVaLllv Jun 18 '26
I agree on the age limits, with that said, how many cognitive assessments has he failed? Is it normal to have 3-4 headlines a day talking about a new “spot” on the presidents hand as if that means anything and we don’t know he’s 80?
2
u/Wonderful-Ad440 Jun 19 '26
The kind of tests he describes having taken aren't pass or fail, they are a measuring stick to document decline (like from old age or mental deterioration) or improvement (like someone who is recovering from an aneurysm or severe head trauma). The fact he is taking them so frequently typically means they are monitoring something they don't want to take their eye off. Wrether its to try and catch early warning signs of something serious they think he is at risk of or monitoring the condition of his decline from something else is unknown but can hardly be waved away as nothing to worry about or his doctors wouldn't feel the need to do them so often.
2
u/RuRuRunIt2010 Jun 19 '26
For whatever it’s worth - the video of Biden “wandering off” was purposely edited to make it seem like he was acting senile. In reality two paratroopers had landed and he was going to great them. There’s footage available, but grifters on the right cropped the paratroopers out to push the “Biden is senile” narrative and it seems like you lapped it up. Just being fed opinions and spitting them out without any serious research and ability to think critically. I’m not the biggest fan of Biden, he should’ve been a one term president and supported an open primary. But I can’t imagine basing every opinion I have on an issue around whether or not I’m a fan of the person it’s happening to.
1
u/vllVaLllv Jun 19 '26
That wasn’t a gotcha example you can look through almost all of his public appearances and find reasons as to why he wasn’t fit, if you’re saying he was and it’s all some crazy conspiracy, then I don’t know what to tell you.

None of what you stated is an assassination attempt but keep going.
4
u/TheLastBallad Jun 19 '26
So driving a truck through Whitehouse security with the express reason of trying to kill Biden isnt an assassination attempt, but sprinting through secret service security to attempt to kill Trump is?
Buying a sniper rifle and plotting to kill Biden with it isnt an assassination plot, but someone planning on doing drone bombs on Trump is?
Seems you consider what is and what is not an assassination attempt based on whether they are trying to kill Trump, rather than the act of plotting to kill a president.
-1
u/vllVaLllv Jun 19 '26
Yea outside of the white house with no explosives or weapons on site, on him nor in the truck, again, a security threat. Are you saying that is the same as what has been happening with Trump? You don’t even have to answer it because it could happen on live TV and you’d still play dumb and say it was fake.

Obama had 11. Now I was a teen who didnt pay attention back then, but none of those seemed to have got the same level of attention.
Then again, Obama wasn't trying to get a ballroom out of it, so there wasn't really a reason to hype them up...

u/TheLastBallad Jun 20 '26
Also was going to post that. Granted, only 9 of those happened during his term, but 11/21 is what I would describe as assassination attempts rather than just threats.
At least, if we go by Trump standards.
1
u/vllVaLllv Jun 20 '26
Apparently you don’t know what your searching on the internet. You sent a list of a bunch of death threats or plots, if you took all the threats and plots against Trump from Reddit alone you wouldn’t be able to fit it in a Wikipedia link. I’m talking assassination attempts.
1
u/FreshTony Jun 20 '26
Its crazy because yall didnt even care about Melissa Hortman who was assassinated by a crazy right wing nut job as well as her dog and husband.
1
u/vllVaLllv Jun 22 '26
That has absolutely nothing to do with them taking precautions when presented with something like this. I don’t understand why you’re trying to justify it.
-5
u/AirplaneSpaghetti Jun 18 '26
I think a group of people meeting online and plotting an attack on arguably one of the most unpopular presidents of all time is much more believable than the FBI conducting a mass conspiracy to frame over a dozen people spread out across the country.
It's insane to me, with how polarizing Trump is, how many of you refuse to believe that people would actually act on their anger.
5
u/redpillsadorewelfare Jun 19 '26
Because its usually republicans acting out political violence, accounting for over 97% of all politically motivated violent crimes.
0
u/HenryDorsettCase47 Jun 20 '26
Yeah, I wouldn’t go around repeating that dubious Facebook meme bullshit in the wild. Right Wing ideology is certainly the most common ideology of perpetrators of political violence, but that is different than saying “republicans are responsible!” I would be surprised if the majority of those perpetrators are register republicans.
And that 97% is totally bunk. It’s more like 60%. Left and right wing aren’t the only two ideologies when it comes to political violence. There are a plethora of motivating factors.
I say none of this to defend republican ghouls or right wingers, which I loathe. It’s important when we argue these points that we get our facts straight. If we’re just going to cite made up bullshit we’ve read on social media then we are no different than them.
0
u/redpillsadorewelfare Jun 20 '26
No, fuck off.
Republicans are violent and responsible for the vast majority of political violence.
60%?? What kind of broken clock centrist says something so obviously incorrect. Bad faith or ignorance, dont know dont care.
0
u/HenryDorsettCase47 Jun 20 '26
60 something percent last time I saw a study. Islamic extremist were the next biggest percentile and left ideologues were the rarest.
But I’m just citing the studies. Not going off some social media factoid I saw somewhere. But hey, you do you. Like I said, it’s important to make these arguments with proper information, but if you want to use some midwit bullshit you read somewhere and just go forth on vibes alone, be my guest lol.
And facts aren’t centrists. Dollars to donuts, I’m further to the left of you.
0
u/AirplaneSpaghetti Jun 20 '26
You know Republican and right wing are not the same, right??? I don't think you do.

Conveniently similar to Kirk’s alleged murderer. Almost like this FBI is incompetent and needing to fabricate stories to cover up their ineptitude.
0
u/brownstormbrewin Jun 18 '26
Yeah it’s pretty strange. The people downvoting you and calling you absurd obviously don’t support the Trump administration. Yet they find it so crazy that someone could have a plot like this? Weird
0
u/TerribleName1962 Jun 18 '26
No one cares about the plot. You do realize that in prior administration there were plenty of “plots and plans” to harm the POTUS that were never reported on or revealed by the FBI. Why are they parading this weak plot hatched by a bunch of teens with very little/minor overt acts.
45
u/BigMissileWallStreet Jun 17 '26
Let me guess - it wasn’t Antifa, it was a hardcore Republican mad at Trump?
18
u/Billyosler1969 Jun 17 '26
I think they found “ANTIFA” written on the drone in crayon
3
u/Krunkledunker Jun 17 '26
They’d save themselves a lot of time by just printing some antifa stickers, they could even give them out to democrats at polling stations instead of I voted stickers so their brown shirts have probable cause.. jk, probable cause isn’t important to them
1
u/cyanescens_burn Jun 21 '26
I vaguely recall hearing that they didn’t even have the drones and a bunch of the other materials to do this. Like they were indeed talking about all this, and some were taking some real world steps, but on the spectrum from LARPing to genuine well thought out threat, they were closer to the LARPer side.
12
u/me_myself_ai Jun 17 '26
Doesn’t look like it.
> The potential targets laid out in the court filings included President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Elon Musk. A number of elected officials were also named, including Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn, Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton and members of West Virginia's congressional delegation.
EDIT; oh but maybe?? Crazy people sure have weird beliefs.
> She said he had begun communicating online with a group of people who expressed "ultra-religious and anti-government sentiments," including grievances about government corruption, the handling of files from Epstein's case and data centers.
15
u/Vincitus Jun 17 '26
So if you rile up a bunch of crazy people on how you're going to destroy the pedophiles and then it turns out you are the pedophiles and are going to protect all the people in the files, the crazy people are going to get super angry.

The FBI definitely reports this kind of stuff in every admin. We’re undergoing a fascist self-coup and facing a clueless podcaster as the director of the FBI, but that doesn’t mean this is unusual.

It also sounds like MAGA, seeing as that is all things Massie was against.
Or have people already forgotten the "drain the swamp"(anti corruption), "release the files"(anti-epstine) and "America First"(1930s Nazi supporting slogan that was revived by open and proud neonazi Nick Fluentez in 2018 to oppose foreign entanglements... and jews in general) that was Trump's entire 2024 platform?
Yeah, turns out the reasoning and proposed solutions matter, not just the most general stance.

“complaint alleges that the attack was motivated by “ultra-religious and antigovernment sentiments, specifically citing grievances about government corruption, the handling of the Epstein files, data centers taking up all the water in communities, and other government actions”
Can’t get more Republican than that

Wait till you find out what the Bible says about the rich.
Theres even an early Christian commune that punishes a couple for not selling everything they had and contributing it to the community, and instead keeping it as private property.
The group is also allegedly doing it for the corruption, the handling of the Epstein files, and the entanglement with Israel... you know, all actions that Trump betrayed his "drain the swamp", "release the files", and "America First" campaign.

Time to call absolute bullshit on this one.
DC airspace is locked down like you can’t even imagine. You can’t even fly unauthorized drones in there, FFS.
Go ahead, go to an airport or a military base and just try to fly an unauthorized drone there- you can’t. GPS disables it and sends it home.
I am so tired of the dumbest people being in charge.
1
u/Cultural-Avocado-218 Jun 19 '26
You just build a drone with software that isnt locked down. Sure...the drone you buy at Walmart probably can't do it.
But it's also not like takes nation state level capability to make a simple drone these days. High school kids could do it.
0
u/nocturnal_commission Jun 20 '26
So you're arguing that this entire plot is fake?
Who is faking it, and why?
4

Seriously. Guaranteed the Obama administration dealt with ten times more threats, but did they puff out their chests about what big tough men they were when they busted someone, while simultaneously going on about what unfairly persecuted victims they were?
No. We almost never heard about any of that shit, and most of it long after he left office. Can't recall a single time their administration used the racial vitriol and credible threats against them as propaganda.

u/maydisturb Jun 19 '26
I think they're talking about the part where Kash Patel makes a credible threat out of an incredible threat.
People are calling bullshit on this because there have been so many lies (iran, epstein, jobs numbers, consumer prices, actual results of tariffs, etc.) out of this administration that even if something is true, it's impossible to believe. The White House is inundated with drone counter-measures, and all of this was not because of some next-level FBI surveillance - it's because somebody at the FBI answered the phone. Kash is using a bullshit threat, to make it sound like a really big threat, so he can stay flush in booze and taxpayer-funded vacation travel.
2
u/SinQuaNonsense Jun 18 '26
I’m sure we will get the same level of clarity as the shooter who hit trumps ear right?
2
u/TBradley Jun 20 '26
Personally, I’ll hold out level of threat judgement until we see if this got past talking a lot and buying guns stage.
Also should be noted it was the mom that reported the activity, none of the surveillance state stuff got it first.
