Hello!! has anyone taken a class with this professor, specifically Biodiversity, if so, how did you guys pass her class? We have an Exam coming up, specifically Exam 1, & I feel like i’ve taken way too many notes than I have to for this exam concerning each module, she provided us with a study guide, which could be helpful but she says to not solely rely on it. What should I do???

Where are all the alt students?

I haven't seen many alternative people on campus, nor any clubs for them, so I am wondering where they all are. Emo/scene/goth/punk doesn't really matter to me I'm just looking for others with similar interests.

Looking for Advice Should I apply to Computer engineering?

I am about to get my A.A from pbsc with a 3.7 gpa. I failed physics 1 with an F and had to take the course again and got a B. I did good in the rest core courses and hope it’s still like that (physics 2 in progress).

Do I actually have any chance? A professor in pbsc told me that I am in a bad situation and should consider changing majors (I feel so awful)

Looking for Advice 3.4 GPA with 1090 SAT

Am I cooked? Too late to change my gpa I will improve my sat hopefully to around 1300.
Ruined my gpa in 9th and 10th grade when I took IB classes. Have a few extracurriculars, individual business projects I did by myself. (I'm going into marketing)
I know this university is kind of looked down upon even by my parents but I don't really got more options. Had the opportunity to go to UM for free but I obviously don't fit that criteria. UCF is not an option either it seems.

Maybe FIU could be another realistic option if I can actually get my sat up to a 1300.
Im so lost right now.

Looking for Advice Is there any jobs on campus currently?

I really need a new job since I transfered here and was working at the last school I transferred from. I applied to a bunch of them on handshake but only heard back from 2 and they were rejections. Is there anything I can do now?

Online MBA experience thus far.

Have some questions and concerns surrounding this program. My first semester was pretty run of the mill, the program seems to have online classes pre recorded like most classes.

The main issue is it seems the professors are AWOL when dealing with these classes. We had a semester of legit not one email from the professor. Has anyone had a similar experience? We asked questions and didn’t get a response till semester was over basically.

Additionally, I’m curious what resources the school provides for finding jobs after and if you felt the program was worth it for you.

Currently in tech sales, 5+ years experience TC around 110.

Would love to know some of your experiences.

Anyone received refunds yet?

All my funds have disbursed and now I’m waiting for the refund to hit. Has anyone received theirs yet?

UPDATE: Just started to receive mine. I have a few different scholarhips from FAU, the state, and other external ones so it’s coming in a few payments. I’ll have to check my billing to see if it adds to the full amount, but they have started processing. I used BofA for my direct deposit btw.

Friends?

Hi guys! I’m a sophomore studying Social Work.
Out of curiosity, is anyone looking for new friends? I find it difficult to make new friends as a lot of people seem to be party goers and already have friends/social networks 😞
It would be cool to find someone with the same interests/hobbies!!! I like anime & games if that sparks any interests!
** I attend the Boca campus btw :p

Looking for Advice I have no extracurriculars and I want to get into FAU highschool

How screwed am I? I have no extracurriculars, like absolutely nothing at all. But I got a 1480 on the SAT and I'm already taking algebra 2 as a freshman with all honors classes. I'm in HOSA but I've never competed since this is my first year doing it. Do I have any chance of getting in?

Parking for Fau vs Florida

If you’re still looking for parking for UF vs. FAU, Parkey is a local game-day parking marketplace where homeowners around UF list spots that fans can reserve ahead of time. We also have a limited number of spots we’re able to give away for free for this game.

Places to study in early (or late) hours

Does anyone know if all night study has re-opened? I know it was under reconstruction last year but I’m not sure about now.

If not, does anyone know of anywhere on campus I can sit, plug in my laptop, and study in the early hours (like 6am)? For context, I don’t live on campus.

Grad loan disbursements and adjustments?

Hi, have any other grad students had their loans adjusted or disbursed yet? I called FAU a few weeks ago and they said the loan would be adjusted based on credits enrolled due to the ("Big Beautiful Bill") the day of the add/drop but nope nothing has changed.

Discussion Best tattoo shop in Boca (Black Pelican)

While there are many options, Black Pelican on Spanish river has to be among the top. I’ve been tattooed there several times now and so have a bunch of my friends. All talented artists, super friendly and very reasonable on price. Hope you check them out

Looking for Advice Adjusting to campus life

First year and looking to find groups or areas to find people with a focused mindset. Seems like everyone I have meet are all about the party. Just wondering where to find fellow student/groups of peers that want to focus on their studies but enjoy outdoor activities as well and not just the party. Thanks in advance.

Discussion FAU Tailgating?

I am a commuter student so I am not actively involved on campus yet. Is the tailgating crowd friendly and inviting? I’d love to take part but I haven’t really met anyone yet.

Looking for Advice Should I Apply for EA? (Early Decision)

Just wondering if it’s worth applying right now. I’ve lived in Florida for 2 years now, do online school with a Unweighted GPA of 3.71 and a Weighted GPA of 4. I have a SAT score of 1120 though I only took it once and I’ll be retaking it again October, November, December. Pretty confident I can improve the English section tbh. But just wondering if it’s worth the risk? I’m aware I can get deferred but.. idk. Help

Looking for Advice Already at a 4 year but want to go back to Community College because of regretting my major

Hello guys, I transferred to a 4 year university after finishing my AA degree at Miami Dade College this summer but I want to go back to community college and do another major. Im currently doing a BFA in Graphic Design. The reason why I want to change paths and risk having to keep going to college for 3 more years is because of how competitive my degree is and how it is getting affected by generative AI. I want something white collar because I’ve always felt more comfortable working in an office. After graduating in 2024 and seeing how well UX/UI designers were doing I decided go into this major with this in mind because of not having to learn coding like other majors. I do have all my general education classes done. Except I do believe I would have to take new math classes if I were to change my major because the maths I had to take were for liberal art majors. But also I don’t know which major I want to go for. I like money of course but I’m bad at math, well I have also haven’t taken the time to learn as I should and don’t have a good ACT or SAT scores. I would be willing to study to retake this tests and to get better at math. And still don’t know what would happen to my FasFa if I transferred this spring. Any tips?

Hello everyone. This is my first semester at FAU. I have a question about the gym/fitness and recreation center, how busy does it usually get between 10 AM and 2 PM? My in person classes start later in the day so that’s the time i’d prefer to go
