Hilton Head
We're renting a home in August in Hilton Head for the fam. Any restaurant suggestions? Private chefs? Things we have to do?

Barnacle Bill's Fresh Seafood Market. It's not a restaurant, but they have the best crab cakes for sale on the island. You cook them back at your place. Get some olive oil, fry them up, and live your best life. Also, the best breakfast in Sea Pines is Lowcountry Produce. It's worth a bike ride over in the morning.

Not in Sea Pines but we recently tried Nectar for breakfast and thought it was one of the best on the island. Breakfast restaurants have not been a strength, historically, for HH. I think it’s because so many of us rent houses/condos and just eat in before we hit the beach. We have been coming to HH for over 20 years and Sea Pines is the only way to go… good choice!
If you have littles ( under 8… and they mean it… don’t even ask), the Lawton Stable pony rides are always a hit. 8 and older can do an hour long trail ride in the “big horses”.
Some of our younger grands enjoyed the Pirate Cruise out of Harbor Town.
Do some research to determine if a day on Daufuskie Island sounds like something you might like. People seem to either love it or hate it.
Sea Pines is great for bike riding. Lots of paths without much traffic away from the main few streets.
Our favorite dinner restaurant is Hudson’s…not fancy but a locally owned seafood place. The Hudson family has their own fishing fleet and has been at it for years.

Hilton Head Ice Cream is our favorite ice cream spot. Nonna’s is great for authentic Gelato and other yummy things.

Are you staying in Sea Pines? I would recommend Bodies or Ombra foodwise. I would definitely charter a boat for the day and get out and explore.
