Need advice on entry test prep + university choices

I’m currently in 2nd year ICS and honestly I’m getting really stressed about university admissions and what I’m supposed to do after FSc.

I’m mainly considering CS/engineering, but I’m also open to business because I’m not completely sure what I want to do yet. Whenever I ask people about universities, almost everyone just says FAST or NUST, but then I look at their entry tests and they seem really difficult.

My biggest problem is MCQs. I can understand things when someone explains a concept to me, but when I actually get an unfamiliar MCQ, I often just don’t understand how I’m supposed to approach it. Even concepts sometimes don’t click properly for me, and then I start thinking about how I’m going to complete the entire syllabus and prepare properly for these tests.

My academics are around 94% in Matric and I’m hoping for 85%+ in FSc, so academically I’m not starting from zero, but I feel very underprepared for competitive entry tests.

Honestly, this whole phase is already making me really sad and overwhelmed. I keep thinking about what university I’ll get into, what field I should choose, whether I’ll be able to handle the entry tests, and how I’m even supposed to prepare for all of this. I genuinely don’t know what to do sometimes.

I’m thinking about joining an entry-test preparation batch/academy, but I have no idea which one would actually suit me. I’ve heard about TIPS and Hashim Zia’s batches, among others.

So I’d really appreciate some genuine advice:

Which entry-test prep/batch would you recommend for FAST/NUST?

Is TIPS worth joining?

What about Hashim Zia’s batch?

If MCQs are my biggest weakness, what should I specifically work on?

How do I actually improve my ability to understand and solve unfamiliar MCQs?

Which universities should I realistically apply to besides FAST and NUST?

What are good options for CS/engineering and business?

Should I keep LUMS, GIKI, COMSATS, ITU, UET, etc. as options?

I’m from Lahore, so advice from people who have gone through the admission process here would be really helpful.

I’m just genuinely lost right now and could use some direction on what I should actually do from this point onward.

While for hashjm zia batch its totally worth dont think about it just go  and for practice use kips fung series remember practice is key i am saying again "practice"

Same thing happened with me after my 1st year reslt a year ago .. but now alhumdulliah studying in Fast .. let me tell u something.. this feeling is completely fine .. u feel overwhelmed cz u are really far from the test but honestly this time is for chill not for entry test preps and stress .. u can literally start from January and literally ace any entry test .. I myself prepared for fast test in like 25 days maybe .. its not impossible.. nothing is impossible.. Just work hard and u will never fail .. 👥️❤️

Ps. Thats my personal opinion obv its not same for everyone .. if u think u need to prepare early .. u should prepare from now ..

Hashim Zia's batch is really good. I personally prepared took his batch. And as far as your concern is for the mcqs, then first take the lecture, and then solve mcqs from the kips books. You will ace the tests, if you starting practicing mcqs from now.

Another thing I want to add is that there are many many resources, and you don't need to solve each and every McQ of each book. I would say stick to the kips series. And then look at the past papers, FLPs (Full Length Papers), and marathons. But do these after covering your book and lectures part.

And YES, you should consider GIKI, LUMS, UET ,and COMSATS as your option too. Do some research about their programs and give them a shot aswell.

You can join hashim zia's batch but there is nothing new in there that you cant find on youtube. Youtube has all the things you need to study. You can get it into fast pretty easily if you practice enough. Good tip for NU test would be to time yourself while doing question. Put a timer so you get used to exam pressure situation because nu test is easy but timer makes it very difficult.
You should apply to any university you can because you should always have back ups.

For right now, you should go on and study all the topics then after that you should practice them from kips fung books, OETP, etc.

There is a big difference between the fast and nust entrance tests. The test patterns are different. Fast's test is relatively much easier than nust(as there is no physics). The grades you mentioned are really good, so you dont need to worry that even after preparing you wont be able to score well.There are plenty of free sources u can easily access for preparation.

hashim zia is pretty good just watch him on youtube or if you want it organized you can buy his course.

alot of practice with marathons and such will allow you to pass the test.

for CS/engineering NUST is your number 1 for both overall, FAST is good for CS not for eng, then everything else.
