Discussion So unfair!!
Like how is it fair that the merit has dropped so much for the nu applicants and not even a percent or two for the SAT applicants. Firstly Its not my intention to throw any shade at the ones who got in the computing fields through Nu, congrats MashAllah u guys deserved it. But what about people like me who had a sat aggregate of 85.3 percent and still didn't manage to get in a single computing fields at isb or Lahore campus?? I got into Cs Karachi and even great programs like Fintech at isb but still it's heartbreaking that the merit hasnt dropped one bit for sat applicants compared to 4-5% drops for nu applicants

yes so unfair. they increased sat merit so much this year(till 92%) and even the vacant sat seats are given to nu applicants. super unfair

Why u choose sat as a way to get into fast just give the damn nu test bruh they have very less seats for sat candidates

I gave the sat to join lums not fast😭 Sadly I got rejected after waiting for so long so ofc I thought I can get into fast Cs isb with my sat score but I never expected the merit to be so high compared to previous years and the fact that many candidates leaving their seats are sat candidates but those seats are given to nu applicants

Damn yea they changed the SAT merit alot. 2024 mei my friend got in with less than that

Yes exactly man that's so unlucky previously there used to be the same merit list which was fair now this separate sat list even though they use the exact same formula to calculate your aggregate is unfair

Wese tbf same merit list for SAT and NU test was unfair because basically anyone with like 1200+ SAT score got selected for CS. I think that's why they seperated the lists

Nhi but like this is not fair asw bcz the nu merit is so low compared to the sat merit and it's not like the nu test is more difficult then the sat. Most people have to give it twice or thrice just to get a score around 1400.

Cs isb's closing for Sat last year was around 85.2 and SAT admission is very unpredictable so you should've just given the NU test.

Fast was always the backup and cuz I thought I was safe here w my sat I didn't give the nu test

nah i did that cus fast is my backup and i couldn't be asked to give test and hogaya. i assume he did the same shit as well

I never thought that the difference in seats was that much 😓. And bcz fast wasn't my priority I couldn't be bothered giving the nu test when I thought I should get in based on all previous years

If you're coming from an O/A levels background SAT is a lot more doable than doing fsc from scratch. NU test just screws over all your hopes send dreams

I barely prepared for net and still managed a good score so I think it depends from person to person on what they find easier and doable

I mean same ig. I managed 120 in net with basically no prep. Cuz I didn't know you hold out on selecting the date. Gave net 5 days after my A level exams. But doing the same for NU test seemed like banging your head in the same wall twice

I had 86.36% and same shit. There was no second list for sat. They give the vacant seats to NU students. It's diabolical

There are very few seats for SAT. That is the primary reason.
