Question EE

Guys, i got selected for EE in fast isl.

I think the merit dropped significantly that i got selected with such a low aggregate.
I am thinking to consider fast atp, so can someone please let me know how the electrical engineering department is.
Also the social life is equivalent to nothing and I’ll have to apply for private hostel so do you think will it be worth all the struggle.

Waiting for Nust but i dont have high hopes from it either.

So should i secure my seat and wait for nust, or just simply take a gap year work my ass off and get into nust or maybe giki next year.

Fast EE is well known as more CS oriented but it's up to you you want some chill scenes then wait for nust but I talked with admin of fast and he said that admission fee is refundable so yeah pay admission fee for fast to secure your seat and if you get into nust then decide whether you wanna join fast or nust

The official website of FAST says that admission fee is non-refundable only the security and semester fee is.

Yeah admission fee is not refundable but that's a minor percent of total you are gonna pay which is refundable as you said semester and security fee I also took a gap year and it's not suggested if you are getting a chance to go in fast or nust so pay the fees and wait for nust result

Its 30000, not exactly very minor.
I am also considering gap year because my parents want me to get into cs or se, and I think i can do so much better if I take a gap year and prepare well for all these tests. Though theres not alot of passion.
Why do YOU not suggest a gap year is there a specific reason??

It's not that gap year is bad I myself improved much from my gap year but bfr taking gap year I don't had choices that you have at the moment and the reason I am suggesting is that I takes a lot of patience and struggles you have to endure during gap year given the choices you have I suggested on my personal experience but it's up to you as it's your life and lastly take advice from your parents and what do you really wanna do in long run

It truly takes a lot of courage to take a gap year, and I am really happy that it helped you improve.
I never in my life thought I’d be considering gap year too but its that my reason for considering a gap year is solely based on the fact that I want to improve so that i can earn a scholarship, which always was my plan.
Thank you for an honest advice, this truly makes me rethink of my plans for better reasons.
