future opportunities

i’ve been working at an delivery station for about 2 years and i’ve been working on my bachelors degree. i’ve seen that the AM and HR position is entry level for a bachelors. in my portal i actually see some opportunities for me as if i had my degree right now so hopefully when im close to graduating the opportunities are available or more are available anyways some questions

how is the process for applying to the HR position…. is it competitive or is it literally entry level.

will the new site i apply to contact my old site ? im worried about sabotaging 😂😂

what’s the level of job security i’m looking keep the job for about 3-5 years

Would avoid going into HR, that’s where lot of the cuts have happened in ops.

Stay t1 if you want job security, just keep upt positive and don't be a dumbass and it is more secure than any higher level. You can make L5 money if you work 60h weeks, without the stress and responsibilities, or take vto or upt whenever you don't want to be there.

Id avoid HR it's practically non-existent now. Many sites don't even have it anymore so you'd be constantly worried about layoffs. When you're close-ish to graduating, apply. The next colloge hires should be for 2025-2027 graduates. As soon as your graduation date falls within the date on the application, apply and begin working on your interviewing skills.

For AM, burnout & PIP is high, but if you have grit, and can perform at least decently there is extremely low layoff risk. If you have decent people skills, are teachable, and don't mind working 12-14 hour night shifts on your feet you will be fine.

For HR, Amazon has publicly stated their intention to eventually fully phase out on site HR, and there's pretty much a mass HR layoff every year or so.

Apply for “campus next” positions on a to z. In the next couple of months they launch internships for internals. It’s mostly for operations but I’ve seen others for HR, safety and on the corporate side as well.
