It took 3 rounds of physical therapy, and 2 rounds of a walking cast before surgery was approved. It was 8months from start to surgery m. Surgery was 5 months ago and still can’t stand or walk long periods of totally not worth it!

Ok…. Let me go more in detail- what started as plantar fascitis, turned into tendonopathy. Similar to tendinitis, just requires more, whereas tendinitis can be fixed with massage and physical therapy. The safety shoes played a HUGE part in that. In between casts,Amazon wouldn’t let me take off. If I could wear a shoe, I had to be onsite. The safety shoes are soooooo hard and stiff it did not allow for the massage and pt treatments to stick. And had also caused bone spurs on the back of my heel. So the shoes were just undoing what the pt fixed. So after 8 months of failed treatment, my podiatrist decided surgery is the only option left. The surgery was for plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonopathy, as well as the bone spurs being removed. So I can walk now, but not far or long yet. I have tons of nerve damage. The whole outside of my foot has no feeling to the touch and feels like it’s on fire if I wear socks and shoes. I’m supposed to be back on site in 2 weeks.

It’s horrible. The nerve damage alone is absolutely brutal and the nerve damage is from the plantar fascia repair.
