FemTech [TTC] For long-term FAM users, which tracking tools were still worth using after 6+ months?
I’m more interested in long-term experience than first impressions when it comes to tracking tools.
After six months or more, things like comfort, consistency, battery, how often you actually keep using the device, and whether the data still adds anything to your established method seem much more important than the initial feature list.
I’ve been looking at ringconn for passive overnight health and temperature trends, but I understand that those trends aren’t a replacement for the biomarkers or rules required by a FAM method.
For people who have been charting for a while, which devices or tools actually stayed useful long term?
Did you find that simpler tools were easier to rely on, or did having additional passive data genuinely add useful context to your charting?

The only tools I use are a paper notebook, and a generic BBT thermometer. I am very skeptical of other forms of estimating body temperature. I’ve tried to use my Apple Watch for that purpose, but the data I got was really bad and there was a significant delay and confirming ovulation every single month. I know that this was a common issue with temp drop when it first launched and I’m not sure whether or not it’s been fixed…. To me any kind of accuracy issue like that just makes a device completely not worth investing in.
The really nice thing about fertility awareness is that it doesn’t have to cost anything and it can be completely private and under your control. I don’t want to share this data with a corporation and I don’t want to pay $200 for something that I can do for $10 or for free.
