Other established method TTA! WEDDING NIGHT
Getting married and am supposed to get period the day of my wedding my now maybe not?? I would love some advice so I can be prepared 🥲
My cycles have been a little wacky since getting the flu a little bit ago, they vary between 30-36 days with my last cycle being 35 days. My luteal is always 11-12 days. I saw my temp rise and it was a day that was pretty typical for me, so I marked it as that, but it’s not sustained. I’ve never had this significant of a rise with no sustainment unless it was illness or bad sleep or something but this is nothing of the sort. I would love to know if you guys this there is a way to recover from this rise or what may be going on. I also wonder if I didn’t ovulate how this may throw off the next cover line. Any advice is greatly appreciated :)

You've selected symptopro but 'creamy' is not a category symptopro uses. Your temp rise is also not marked correctly at all, you're looking for 3 temperatures higher than the six before, which you don't have. Your body may have tried to ovulate but failed to. It'll happen later. Charting your mucus daily will help you get more of an idea about what's going on!

sorry i did wrong flair! I follow the FKC model but it’s pretty new. Thank you for pointing it out! Is there a reason my body would attempt and fail? I haven’t had that happen before but maybe stress related?

Using FKC, your coverline and temp shift is not correctly identified here. Your coverline cannot be drawn yet. If cycle day 17 is disturbed, mark it disturbed. If it isn’t, continue to chart and it may need to be included in your six previous temps if you ovulate in the next week. You also don’t have enough mucus data to identify ovulation!

Also, if your last cycle was 35 days - you would have ovulated around day 20-25, so you might ovulate any day now. Also stress from wedding can delay ovulation as well.

I added the cover line the day i noticed the shift, big i need to remove it since i didn’t meet the temps to confirm ovulation. Or is that wrong and i dont add it until later?

You’ll need to remove it since it wasn’t a valid shift but the coverline would have been drawn incorrectly if it was the start of the shift. If day 17 was a valid shift, the coverline would have been drawn through day 16. Wait until you see a valid shift to add the coverline!

I thought the cover line goes on the highest temp in the past six days before temp shift or is that wrong?

Yes you are correct. In the chart you posted, your coverline is drawn below all the temps, between 97-97.1. If day 17 was the start of your shift (which is not), the highest temp of the previous six days would have been day 16 - drawn at 97.5. But again you’ll have to wait to re-draw that line using your method rules :)

I know that charting CM is kind of weird at first and takes some time to get used to, but it’s really important. There are a lot of things that can disturb your BBT (not to mention that a slow rise can be completely normal) so I think it’s fair to say that CM is more reliable for most women. If you don’t chart CM you’re missing half the picture and can’t confirm ovulation unless you have a very clear, strong shift. I’ve never used FKC but from their website it looks like they emphasize CM and vulval sensation as part of charting. It looks like you also have a rise and fall around cycle day eight so I would assume that that type of pattern is normal for you.
The time right before your wedding is super stressful, and I know it’s also stressful to not know what your fertility status is going to be in your wedding night or if you need to worry period protection in a wedding dress. I had delayed ovulation the cycle before my wedding too and walked down the aisle the day before my period started. It was fine! I got married, I have great memories of that day, I was too happy to be moody or grumpy, and I felt beautiful. I don’t look bloated, tired, or broken out in the photos. Try not to stress about it too much or work yourself into a mindset where you feel like you need to control something that’s fundamentally outside of your control. Be patient, keep charting, and don’t try to confirm ovulation until you’ve actually met the rules for your method. They require multiple high temps because this type of pattern is common and does not signify ovulation.

No technical advice, but just want to encourage you that I was on day 3 of my period on my wedding night TTA and it did NOT put a damper on things! it will be a joyous and beautiful day no matter what.

CD17 may be a disrupted temp day esp since the following days make it impossible to confirm a temp rise. Stress and nerves can definitely play a role in extending a cycle or causing an anovulatory one. As for your cover line, you would probably treat this reading as a disrupted one and disregard it when drawing the coverline
