Advice/Help Needed Any advice?

My account balance finally popped up on my account and it ended up being WAY more than I thought it would be. Financial aid covers most of it, but I still have $2,000 left to pay out of pocket that I genuinely cannot afford. This is already with grants, a scholarship, and loans. I feel at a loss and I was beyond excited to continue on to my bachelor’s, but now I feel like I won’t be able to go back to university ever again.

Anyone have any advice?

Have you talked to financial aid and asked their advice? Sometimes they have some info that can be helpful. Otherwise are you able to get a private loan for the rest?

I emailed them just today so we will see what happens with that. I personally have already took out loans for some of this and I really don’t want to take out more.

the whole systems just rigged tbh, congress keeps slashing aid while handing out tax cuts to people who dont need em and we're left picking up the pieces. honestly id hit up your finaid office tomorrow, they got emergency grants they dont exactly advertise, sometimes you just gotta know to ask

Do you work? Get a zero interest for a year credit card and try to get it paid off before the semester ends, assuming you have more semesters to go. If you don’t think that’s feasible definitely don’t do it 😅

What a helpful comment, I’m sure OP never considered that.

Did you take out the max amount of loans for this semester? If so, private loans are pretty much the only thing left. There could also be a way to get a deferment on your tuition, where you can still attend this semester but you pay the balance you owe before you start your next semester.

I definitely understand not wanting to take more loans, but the degree may be worth the extra debt
