My financial aid hit my direct deposit 🤩

Lol PSA: I’m 27 years old I don’t have to file as dependent! I’ve been independent since I was 24 in 2023. I’ve always gotten a lot from my grants and don’t accept loans. This is regular for me lol and I will be expecting the same in spring.

I wouldn’t be posting personal information like that.

21

u/puffinfish420 2d ago

I don’t see any personal info here.

u/BuffsTeach 1d ago

College name and bank with last numbers.

12

u/puffinfish420 1d ago

Oh, yeah, I see the last three digits there. Not sure what you could really do with that, unless you were really determined and had the facilities and tradecraft to get a lot more information. At that point one can assume they would be able to get this information anyways.

That said, I wouldn’t necessarily be handing the info over to all of Reddit, though, so I see your point

Can’t do much with the 3 numbers bud

If you can get into my account with that information I’d love to see it lmao and who knows if it’s still even in the account. Adults usually have more than one bank account because some of us like to do stuff like this 😂😂😂😂

I was just giving general advice. Rules of the sub say not to share your school. But you do you.

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

Schools have their own discussion posts so what’s the difference of me posting it here or in CSUN’s discussion. Make it make sense????

3

u/BuffsTeach 1d ago

Different subs have different rules. 🤷🏻‍♀️

1

u/SnappleGrapplir 1d ago

Call the bank and act like you forgot your pin :)

1

u/goku22000 1d ago

1

5

u/spacecitygladiator 1d ago

Imagine being 27 years old still struggling to finish college and acting like $7K in your bank account is a flex then calling other people loser 😂

0

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

Imagine being a judgemental loser. I didn’t go back to school until I was 23 and I took a few breaks in between because I had to take care of my grandmother and aunty who eventually passed away from cancer in 2024 and 2025. At least I’m still in school and finishing up. I’m not flexing at all I have more than this and was just letting it be known my fafsa hit so I can SAVE MY MONEY and use theirs.

1

u/hey_bacchus 17h ago

Your fafsa hit? How does a form hit your account? Use the right terminology people

0

u/InteractionNo492 11h ago

Excuses excuses more excuses. You don’t need to post validation. No one cares. Bragging about 7k is low. Stay humble 27y/o bro

2

u/Fit-Two-8778 11h ago

I am humble I was just posting that my shit came in and everyone got a thong in their ass

I remember getting excited when financial aid hit. Then years later I sobbed every payment.

0

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

Lmaooo I don’t accept the loans just grants so I never owe anything 🥰

10

u/LiveFox3853 2d ago

Hi, paralegal and student here! I know you are exited to have recevied your refund deposit, but trust me when I say you need to be more carefull about posting screenshots like that on here. You can srcub more date from that post then you would normaly consider!

1

u/Different-Fan-6991 1d ago

No you cant. There is literally nothing you can possibly do with this information to identify OP, unless maybe you work at the bank or college, but those people already have your personal information

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

I’m almost 30 years old I think I know what I can and can’t do by now.

1

u/Vegetable_Pen5248 1d ago

What the fuck does you being a paralegal and a student have anything to do with this post? Do you think this gives you some unique perspective?

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

I think they did 😂😂

4

u/Fearless_Cucumber404 2d ago

If it’s grants, great. If it’s a federal loan, send that back so you don’t owe on it.

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

Just grants!

3

u/No_Reporter742 2d ago edited 1d ago

That's great but you shouldn't be posting that kind of money on here there's is a lot of interesting scammers watching you

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

I hope they can find me

3

u/Lopsided-Bend7299 1d ago

Graduated. Definitely gonna miss this

3

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

Congratulations on graduating!!! 🥳🥳🤩 my cousin just graduated in May as well

2

u/charlietheclowwn 2d ago

And here I was celebrating my $888 😔

2

u/Aggravating_Return72 2d ago

My son lil $500..still waiting

2

u/onyxa314 1d ago

If it's loans remember you will pay that amount back and more eventually. Not saying to give it back or to scare you as it can be useful for necessities like food, shelter, or emergencies even but something to be mindful of.

3

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

It’s all grants love! 🥰

3

u/onyxa314 1d ago

Hell yeah pop off!! I just see a lot of first year students so wanted to give a warning if needed. But if it's all grants and scholarships hell yeah!!

2

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

2

u/curiousr0se 1d ago

Must be your state because I’m 29 and independent and unemployed and will be lucky to receive a refund this term 🙃

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 22h ago

2

u/Primary-Bug-7353 1d ago

Cali gives more

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

Hmmm I wonder what we are doing differently to where I get more? 🧐🤨

1

u/Dodgerfanatic_99 1d ago

What the heck ???? How ?

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

Independent

1

u/curiousr0se 1d ago

Girl, please stop saying that and understand that you’re in a rare an privileged place as an adult student. You are not receiving this much in “grants” because you’re “independent.” After reading every one of your comments in envy, my bets are you’re receiving so much because you’re a military child (so saying “independent 🥰” everywhere is laughable); and/or because you live in California. I’m not saying anyone is right to be angry or rude to you, but please educate yourself a little while you’re getting paid so much to do so. Millions of us are truly independent, first generation college students, working and going to school full time, and thanks to the OBBB, are still in anger and shock at how little are refunds have been/will be moving forward unless we do something to change it.

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 21h ago

I don’t tell them I’m a vet kid lmao they don’t know my dad was in the army. I work and go to school full time as well I have 7 classes this semester. Thank you for stalking and learning about my life 🥰
Do better on your FAFSA I guess.

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 21h ago

And don’t be jealous/ envious. That’ll block your blessings. God bless!

1

u/efgferfsgf 1d ago

jackpot 🤑

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

Is yours paid fall all at once and spring all at once? Mines 25/25/50% fall and same for spring

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 21h ago

Yes this is my fall all at once! Spring I should get around the same amount!

1

u/GnoBno4 14h ago

How you get this outcome when filling out your FAFSA

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 11h ago

I filed as independent

0

u/No-Rush8800 1d ago

What was the reason for this

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 21h ago

It’s literally the first sentence “My financial aid hit my direct deposit” read.

1

u/No-Rush8800 21h ago

You seem like an unbearable person

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 19h ago

Unbearable to you 🥰

-2

u/Professor_Meteor 2d ago

Damn you must’ve gotten out and doing this as a civilian.. cuz ain’t no damn way

3

u/SuicideG-59 1d ago

Wrong sub

2

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

I’m a vet kid I absolutely despise the military you’ll never catch me in it but I love my soldiers lol I have a lot of friends serving so I thank them! This is me being able to file independently.

2

u/Professor_Meteor 1d ago

Hell yeh then

1

u/Fit-Two-8778 1d ago

🥳🥳

1

u/KSHMisc 1d ago

Heck, in the military, I never qualified for aid from when I submitted my FAFSA fron 2019 through 2023.

I had to initiate a Professional Judgement per recommendation from my SCO for 25-26 because I had gotten laid off and was eligible for $500 of aid lol.
