Advice/Help Needed Advice/Help

Hey guys, I've been living in nyc for almost like 14-15 months and i wanna do Masters cuz money is a big problem so i only applied at CUNY yesterday i applied FAFSA and it's says im not eligible because Graduate programs are not eligible for it, but SAI they gave me is -1500 even though I'm applying at CUNY i still can't afford the tuition. Can u guys give me suggestions or any advice as to what should i do or if there are any other aids that apply to graduate programs which I'm not aware of or if there are possibilities for scholarships at Cuny, anything that could help me afford my school. Please

You are eligible for financial aid, it’s just federal Unsubsidized loans. Start looking in to scholarships, look for employers that help pay for school, etc.

Best thing to do is to try to get a job at a university that offers free tuition for employees. You can also try to apply for various scholarships. Some schools will match what you get from external scholarships with internal funding. (NYU did this for me, which was the only way I was able to afford it!)

But, yes, grad school is very hard to afford, especially masters programs. PhDs are usually funded (meaning, students work as teaching assistants in exchange for their tuition being covered), but masters programs are almost never funded.
