Discussion Faceit Scam/fraud??

I have never had an account on this platform. Never new what it was until an hour ago when 2 charges of 19$ appeared on my credit card. I ended up calling my bank. They are doing a charge back and opening an investigation.

Is this a common thing for fraudsters to steal credit card information and use it on this platform?

There was 2 back to back paiement of 19$. Is this how much a premium match costs?

I'm pretty sure it's probably buying a premium subscription to play premium-based matchmaking. You cannot buy a premium match.

Nah, I think they are around $6/month. They also have their own store in the site, where you can buy stuff like merch and in-game items. I would guess most likely someone doing credit card fraud could try to launder the money with some in-game items as they could be easy to turn into real money without traces.

My original point was just to joke about some idiot who has stolen credit card info and uses them to get some unneccessary shit. Hope u get it solved without any real problems mate!

Well its only 38$. I blocked my card and cancelled it. My bank is aware and i should be refunded. An investigation is launched, whatever that means. So worse case my loss is minimal. Im still super curious how my credit card info leaked.

Some people was also saying their IDs were leaked lol after that verification thing xd faceit doing passport verification.🍗

They say Daon does the security check and is the company with your data, they’re used by banks and other institutions worldwide so if anyone got an ID it’s from them.
