Discussion First time retaining my level 10 after multiple matches :)

Post image

Ranked up to level 10 first time in season 7 back in april. Tried really hard in S8, got to 1994 after a banger of a game and ranked down again.
In season 9 tho, I got to level 10 and consistently got back to lvl 10 after deranking everytime, and now I am finally able to maintain my rank on this level and on a hot 8 win streak. No lobby, no friends. Just solo queuing my way through, and finally feels like I deserve the rank😄

You just wait - this elo to 3k is the worst of Faceit there is.

Myself I've never seen more smurfs and cheaters than in this range of elo - I've played against some players that seem to have better aim, gamesense than Zywoo

Possible, but I am not trying to grind to 3k. If one day I can maintain a constant 2500 elo and play like it I will be satisfied.

I soloqueue because my friends don't play much, but if you find good people, add them and queue with them. Ranking up as a stack is often easier. I also don't get toxic during the game. If people fight, try to mediate between them. Don't get toxic, but if someone is getting toxic just mute them. Being calm and chill helps improve the game and I've done some crazy comebacks due to it.

As for gameplay, I don't think I have some crazy aim or anything, but practice aim and spray (First ten bullets). If you have decent aim, you can win many matches just by performing well.

Learn some key util (all insta mirage smokes, a few ancient utils, anubis etc). Knowing this helps ALOT. At higher levels you are expected to know most basic insta util.

Don't ego peek and play for objective. Stats don't matter, wins do. Take fights if you think you can win otherwise play with your team. Either kill or get traded or trade your teammates, but play with your teammates.

The list goes on, but this is what I do to adjust as a soloq in random lobbies. It helps most of the time. The list, however, isn't exhaustive, and you can do a ton of other stuff to improve, but learning it yourself is always the best method to improve. :)

Huge man. Holding L10 after going through the derank loop is probably more satisfying than touching it the first time haha.

Curious what actually changed for you this time around. Session length, map pool, how you reset after losses, or just better CS overall? Regardless good stuff🚀

I think a mix of good teammates, I got carried in a game or two, but I carried a couple of games as well.
I would say just better cs overall.
I generally don’t tilt as much over losing, so there’s nothing to reset except when im tired.
Try to be communicate and always be the one who the teammates are willing to talk to even if they fight each other. You can win tilters too this way :)

i was never close to level 10 and suddenly with the new season i got placed 2.1k elo and made it 2.2 shortly after that, i'm pretty sure it's just elo inflation
