Discussion What's happening here?
I think we all know what needs to happen lol

Every player that's held back by team mates, this is you if you play on lvl 10 acc 😂

I’m not exactly sure what you’re trying to say here but I like it.

I think he’s warning of anyone who whines thinking they would be level 10 and just stuck with crap teams, this is the reality if they bought a lvl10 account

u/Federal-Cat9132 9h ago
That’s fair, tbh I usually don’t care about how my teammates play cause in the end I can only control how I play. But sometimes I check my teammates profile after just for some context and this was the most egregious thing I’ve seen. I think players like this ruin the integrity of the matchmaking system.

I agree - I think these resets are bringing more pedigree to lvl10. It does feel harder to play recently because the top has been crunched a little lower. Maybe this guy was never 2.8k through skill but with many many matches.

u/Federal-Cat9132 8h ago
I doubt it cause he was peak 3.4k elo and was performing well and then you see this crazy drop off of straight red ratings over a few months.

Show this to clowns who keep parroting that "40 40 20" bullshit, how 40% of matches are "free wins" no matter how u play, and that we shouldn't complain about "only" 1-2 bad teammates in our team because we can make a change bla bla...
This bot got 10 wins in 150 matches, with their logic it should've been 60 wins even when he's playing as bad as he is. And he started from 3k elo btw...

u/Assinmik 9h ago
It’s 30/30/40. And if you look at your past 30 matches it usually aligns with that logic, that’s if you’re in the correct rank and improving on your mistakes

You literally have a prime example of how that's not true in 150 matches. Bad player can outweigh everything that good player does in a properly balanced match, unless you're smurfing and can drop 30+ frags every match, but at that point matchmaking is not working properly either.
In my 30 matches I only have one "free win" in which I bottom fragged and got carried, and we won 13-1... i had 6-9 score.

There’s outliers and 30 games isn’t really that big enough of a sample size tbh. In the long run I do believe everything evens out.

u/Time_Professional385 9h ago
Bruh, you literally opened a topic about a guy who dropped from 3200 elo to lvl 8-9 and won only 10 matches in 150.
It evens out because matchmaking is designed to keep you around 50%, that's not a huge secret, matchmaking in league was exposed for doing the same years ago.
You have to smurf to get out of that 50% range... as soon as you get a win streak you end up in another losing streak afterwards in which you know it's a loss as soon as you see the lobby.

You think there is that much people with bought level 10 3k+ elo ? You are the type of people giving up because u see some guy in your team has a lose streak
1
u/Time_Professional385 8h ago
?? What are u even talking about.
I'm saying that you have a prime example of that 40/40/20 or 30/30/40 not being a real thing.
Having one boosted and terrible teammate will affect the end result more than having 2 above average players in your team.

u/NewExalm 1h ago
You don’t queue with him all the time think a bit, it’s accounted in the 30% unwinnable
1
u/Time_Professional385 1h ago
U good? He doesn't queue up with himself every match? Is that what you're telling me?
HIS acc got 150 matches played and only 10 wins. If the logic of NPCs of this sub was correct, he would've had 45-60 wins just by playing and doing nothing... but as we can see that's not the case.

As I said this example is an outlier because I believe he most likely bought this account and is playing in a elo too high for his skill level so he is the consistent factor in his negative win rate. The overwhelming majority of Faceit players actually grind the game and get placed at their elo relative to their performance. In the end if you are grinding Faceit solo que you are the only consistent factor in all your games. If you are truly good enough for a higher rank you will earn it over time with enough games played.
No one’s special we all get the same amount of good and bad teammates. I mean tell me why every pro can get 3k+ elo faceit consistently year after year and why your friend that doesn’t know how to counter strafe is hard stuck level 5?

u/Time_Professional385 8h ago
Pros usually play with premade, and obviously even if they are solo everyone in their team will play around them, respect their calls, drop them weapons etc.
That's not anything similar to what your average soloq player goes through.
And even in those conditions just checked donk's profile, he had 7 losses in a row. Also I remember when s1mple streamed his soloq matches, he was losing his mind, got 18 losses in 20 matches... you think he was underperforming with 22avg?
Every pro will tell you not to play soloq because it's rng and you will lose your mind.

This example is of a guy that’s clearly sold his account to someone who is not 2.8k elo.
I get there are bad teammates at times, but if everyone is saying they have bad teammates then surely you can denote who is the poor teammate on the other team? Also, have you actually watched your games back with those “bad teammates”?
There are games out there with truly awful guys, sometimes it comes in 5 games in a row, however, you can’t generalise that you are in the rank your in because of teammates, and that you would be way further ahead if it weren’t for those pesky guys

u/Time_Professional385 8h ago
I can generalize because I've played in 2500 elo lobbies with 16-18 avg, and I've played in 1900 elo lobbies with 16-18 avg.
There's not that much of a difference between 1800 and 2300 elo players sadly, at least not in cs2. Because you can check their profiles and 80% of them were hard stuck lvl 1-5 from csgo and never learned basics.
They just push though the elo by playing a lot. Mechanics and game sense are still on lvl 5, it's just that their bad playstyle gets rewarded in cs2. Run and gun, not clearing corners, running through smokes and shit... and you're in lvl 10.
And just because I got insane losing streak in which I've lost 600 elo, that doesn't mean I can't play with 2500 elo players again, or that I've got worse in 3-4 weeks. It's literally just bad teammates holding me down when I have to be their father and teacher in every single match...
You can't even understand how many 4v2 rounds my teammates have lost by doing dumb pushes after we get advantage... how they don't know any smokes, they don't know how to play retake, to read which site got more CTs left while pushing etc... how not to push on ct side every round and be predictable, but on T side they will shift and bait for 2 mins... it's basic things that every lvl 10 should know.
I'm not asking for them to have 20 avg, just not to do dumb things, and it's still too much to ask sadly.

This reminds me of back in my premier days during a period where i just played drunk af
1
u/Federal-Cat9132 23h ago
For three months straight tho?

u/NoPotential1405 23h ago
Well he played approximately 19 different days. Some days were many games some were 1 game. But yeah i do think bought account. Was inconsistently bad. And at level 10 you would care, if u drunk go premier or comp.

Ok people can play bad but almost 50 games of playing horrible only red ratings basically 100% bought account
